Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

That picture of winter soldier just looks awesome. I couldn't be more excited for this movie.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I will admit I have not read a Captain america comic book in probably twenty years. Did he actually go to this costume in the later years? Just from first glance I really do not care for it. Where is the red? Other than just the star on his chest, and not counting the cowl, this just looks like a typical SHIELD suit to me. I just don't see anything iconic about it.

Now, with all that said, I will tell you I am not one of those fanboys who pick everything apart. If the suit works on screen, then I will not have a problem with it. It just doesn't look very "Captain America-y" to me at this point.

It was used during his Steve Rogers, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. days after he came back from being "dead" while Bucky was still the new Captain America. Nick Fury Jr. (aka, making the mainstream Nick Fury black to not confuse people) took to wearing the costume recently.

I agree with you. The suit looks really cool, just not very Captain America-y. I mean, when he wore this suit in the comics he stopped going by Captain America. I understand the purpose it serves though, him joining shield and all. Plus we see glimpses of the TFA suit in the trailer so, I'm not really upset.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

What's the deal with the new rumor about Chris Evans being "replaced" as Captain America, or killing him off in this film or Avengers 2 to make way for another hero. Something about he is too difficult to get along with on set or something. Odd.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Nothing more than rumors at this point I don't think. I don't see any names attached to the claims, but I think that would be silly.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Evans has stated to be contracted to about 6 or 7 Marvel films (originally 9)

Good. That would be a ridiculous thing to recast or change. Capt. in my opinion is one of the more known characters. Although his first film was good but not over the top great, I think Evans is settling into the character well and the movies are just getting better (much like Helmsworth and Thor.)

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I would find it hard to believe he is hard to get along with on set. I mean he was in some decent movies before this but he was not exactly an A lister or in huge demand. But hey I guess success can go to your head quickly.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

looks like they really over did it with the photo shop on ScarJo's waist. I don't get it. She is hot as hell already why do they need to mess with her.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I just hope they use the "widow bites" this go 'round. I know we got to see her put them on in the Avengers. And yes, I know she did actually use them a time or two, but those shots were so fast and without exposistion it really was hard to tell they were even there. I had a friend of mine, who has watched the Avengers about three times with me, ask me about this. He swore she never used them. It wasn't until I freeze framed for him and pointed it out did he see it. Okay, I'm sure all of you saw it, but a lot of people probably didn't. I hope they play them up more this time.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Man, the Black Widow design gets more complicated with every movie. It looks fabulous, but there's so many different fabrics and pattern pieces here - I can practically hear my sewing machine crying...
