Paul
Thank you, Right now there is a interest list at the junkyard.

Nice! Yeah, I was going to say the ear pieces seem to stick out too far, but she's a beauty. :)

Thanks, yes I already fix the ears, remenber if i decide to make the helmet (that is for sure because there are many menbers interested) it will come as kit form.

Some new pics from the set, if you haven't seen them yet.

Thank you, that are great photos.

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

hmm... i'm not really liking the cut of the eye shapes and mouth opening on the new suit.. and the hood needs the wings sticking out at least a little... I think I'll make my own version, or slightly modify one of yours Maul.

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

i'd love to know exactly what is under the mask

what do people think? a full balaclava?

it seems that would be the only way to keep the neck piece from not rolling down, unless there'r clips or buttons, but i can imagine that being very uncomfortable

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

I think it would be a full leather helmet underneath. Stay true to the generation they are filming for. Plus I would think the leather would add comfort and keep it from slipping from the actual helmet...

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

This is just gorgeous! I'm a little bummed I found this too late, you really did this quick! Great work! I wish I'd been earlier as I believe, from looking at the pictures of the original and having worked in the FX industry, that the original was made from foam rubber and glued onto the fabric hood, if not run on it. Great sculpt! Can't wait to see it painted!

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

reducing the ears made a huge difference, nice job!

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

Very nice! Great job on the whole project.

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

Thank you, the helmet will be made of few coat of smooth cast 300 with some strap of fiberglass in some area only, in that way the helmet will be very lite and very confortable.

Re: Captain America (P.R.) Avengers New Helmet 2012 completed new photos

I painted the best i could, i used dark blue with mist of royal blue and silver paint, I offer the helmet as a kit form only because painting the helmet take too much time.
Hopefuly by friday i have a friend to come to my house to wear my helmet because he looks more Captain America than me :lol, so you can see how look like with helmet on, he is 22.5 inches head but like i said before you can add padding if you have small neck you can add padding under the blaclava in the neck area, so you will have a strong neck side to side :thumbsup but on the front you will look normal. Remmenber the helmet size is 23 inches easy.
