Limited Run Captain America Harness and Belt/Pouches

Not sure if they have this in Canada but I used Gorilla Super Glue, it has some flexibility to it, very easy to use, and has held up extremely well with my other costumes. I think any of the super glues that have rubber-like qualities will probably work.

It is the first glue I was using and it held as long as you didn't wear the harness. They started popping off like popcorn on the first harness I made. I also tried two epoxies and those popped off too. Next time I do something like this we'll see if we can modify the metal pieces to have small hidden holes to accommodate rivets.

Hi guys,

I was actually the first one to receive a belt and harness from Kingsley Armoury. I gotta say they've held up really well since I got them in June. I do many charity events where kids are hanging on the belt and harness etc, as well as conventions, and all the metal bits are still on and shiny. The pouches are all still in great condition and the staining has held up great. If you're on the fence about getting one - just do it. These may not be movie accurate for future movies, but I don't think anyone will notice the difference.

Here's the most recent photo of the gear from Corey Graham Photography.

Talsiri and Mr. Lum. You're next. Talsiri's is packaged and ready to ship. Mr. Lum I am attaching on the little metal bits.

Thex - my apprentice si just finishing your harness today. Your belt and pouches are done. Just neds to be assembled and shipped. I suspect in the next week.

After that it is Darth Vulgar, Darth Gius, Rex Adams, and Magnus Darcrider.

Hey Kingsley!

Just want to know when the next run would be for new sign ups. I already have metal pieces from dstengler in my possession that I could send to you at some point :)

Likely in the spring. I think it will be a set of gaiters, belt, harness and pouches. The price will go up to $275 plus shipping for the set, and an extra $100 for the gaiters. I'll doa new thread when that time comes.

ok thanks i hope i will have them in the end of january :)

Late to comment on it but I received my belt and harness and am very pleased! My only concern is the glue issue but it's already been addressed :)

Kingsley, If you do a run for the gaiters and/or gloves I would love to be on the top of that list.

Thanks. Yeah - the glue. Aluminum does not like to glue to leather. I figured out one trick with the buckles and that was to rivet them on before gluing them together, or gluing them to a leyer of suede that was riveted on. I am trying new glues this upcoming week. Wish me luck!

All sewn together - shipping Monday.

Kingsley,

Where am I on that list? Very much looking forward to receiving the belt/harness.

Joe - you are at the very bottom dude. Sorry. But at 2-3 harnesses a week you are looking at 3-4 weeks. Unless my apprentice gets some extra energy- then it will be less.

Resale value is really good on these. Just saw one sold for $340 USD. Had the buckle set included, but that is at cost to order a new one!
