Captain America: Civil War

Dont you think its kind of a 180 in character though considering the first 2 iron man movies Tony basically said **** off to the government? Thats the only thing thats really bothering me, is that Tony is going for government registration. IM3 didnt really touch on it if I remember, I only saw it once because I wasnt really a fan.

Basically in Age of Ultron, that's where he realizes his mistakes and now he wants to fix them in Civil War. It's not at all bothering to me, since there's a transition and a reason for him to do a 180

Agreed. My theory... Stark is behind the accords because he was pretty much responsible for Ultron and therefore indirectly responsible for Sokovia.
S.H.I.E.L.D. (Hydra?) was responsible for NYC indirectly for going above and beyond to get the Tesseract.

Yes and NYC was the target because of the arc reactor power source that Tony had build at STark Tower. So I place the blame on Stark and SHIELD.

Tony looks a little shaken up by the end of AoU. I think he's finally realized exactly what happens when he can do whatever he wants without supervision, and he (rightly) blames himself for the destruction of chekovia. I think he's trying to atone for his hubris. Remember in IM, when he didn't really care about who he sold his weapons to, then he did a 180 as soon as he realized exactly what he had done. I think we're seeing something similar here.

Agree with this. Something similar, except it's bigger in scale.

Why did they do it? Couldn't just stick to their guns and have that perfect tease. Quite annoyed at that. Their hype train is at full speed, there is literally no need at all to release any more Spidey.

And yet people are half annoyed/half pleased with the Wolverine claw reveal, or the Doomsday reveal etc.

Thankfully I don't have to be annoyed for long - seeing it in 3 days. I'm sure it doesn't ruin anything either but come on.

I was totally prepped for a young sounding Spidey, but in that clip it still surprised me how young he sounded, don't know if anyone else found that. Dunno if it's going to be absolutely perfect, but fingers crossed. Should be an excellent flick.

While I do agree with this somewhat, they already teased spidey, and this is barely that much more. Youre right though, there isnt a need, but why not?

Now I feel as though the Wolverine claw reveal was definitely a "this should get asses into seats" kind of thing, because Xmen hasnt really been talked about too much. At least my circle of nerd friends is pretty luke warm about it. None of us have cable either so I havent seen too much maketing for that matter, and what I have seen, hasnt impressed me.

Also agree. To be honest, Im tired of the high school spidey. Make him be established, have him be teaching at Empire State University or something. Mid 20's to early 30's would be great. Same with the Xmen, Im tired of the "Now youre Xmen" speech. *eyeroll* I think they should get someone else to helm the Xmen movies. I dont think Bryan Singer is up to the task. When there werent too many comic book movies, Xmen worked, 16 years ago...Now, I feel like people expect more, and I dont think Singer can deliver.

The Spidey bit in the latest TV spot gives us a glimpse of why everyone who's seen the movie has said Holland is the best big screen version of Spidey thus far. Sounds like he's nailed the whole American teenager thing, and from a British actor no less.

CNm4XpUWgAQ4bI2.jpgI for one am sick and tired of British actors playing superheroes.

This is what happens when you're a 97 year old virgin, no shame at all :lol Tony was asking about Cap's dark side, well there it is.
