Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

the online inventory isn't always accurate then? I've had that problem a lot working on SHIELD and Hawkeye uniforms. So many OOP items where I'd find one single one in a store and order it only to find out it's just an inventory ghost!

If you're ordering the pair I think you're ordering from that website, I suggest you do call.

It never hurts :)

Okay so this guy on IG told me about some knock off pairs of the police sunglasses and I was wondering about their quality?

Because sometimes I want the look of these pairs but I can't afford the $430 causality of these getting messed up when going to the beach.

These look exactly like the Dubrey brand. If they are, these are very very cheap. However I have several on hand that I just swap out the (amber) lenses when they get damaged.

Dabo by initum is up and running. If you're looking to buy pairs and wanting to help charities you can. Sadly the advertising for it was nonexistent, just a facebook post about it 2 days ago and I'm not confident buying anything given the lack of communication from Initium's end.
But if you can instill my confidence let me know if the pairs are selling, It doesnt hurt to have another pair and support a good cause.

The Moschino again. Those lenses, even taking into account the lighting look lighter than my pair??

One thing this photo confirms is they are actually his. UV and I wondered if he'd simply swapped his Prada with someone else for fun at the event where he's seen wearing both.

Must have taken both, but realized the Moschino's were a bit too dark for an indoor gig and stuck mainly with the Prada's (which might be why there are more Prada pics ).

Taking multiple pairs of frames out for an evening is an excellent idea to speed up the wearing rotation of a large collection...

Nothing says "diva" like a wardrobe change mid press conference ...

I do like the tonal dressing with the t-shirt, hat and lenses in that pic!!

That colour combination does work really well.

Does anyone know what glasses were worn on that brief clip?

I think I'm gonna send my Paul Smith Alder in for yellow lenses. They're pretty close to the frames on the clip and I think the ink black frame will work well with the yellow.

Still working on ID'ing those frames, but in the meantime, my Paul Smith Alder's...

And just for you, a color edited version for you to see what they might look like with yellow ;)...

Awesome!

They look nice with the yellow. I'm definitely going with that!

I don't wear them often. They currently have the very light yellow "Walton - esque" type lens. They're nice but a bit bland, I prefer the slightly more in your face yellow.

Thanks for sharing that example, it seals the deal for me!

You are most welcome!! :D

I think you are right - After posting that, I might go for the "stand out" deep yellow too!! (y)

It does look good!

I'd still love to know the identity of the frames in the clip but with that limited info it might be a tough ask even for your detective skills :)

I was never entirely happy with how "jet dark black" and opaque my matt black All-In lenses were (my eyes were never visible in any lighting, either indoors or outdoors).

I don't know if everyone's matte black All-In lenses are the same, or if different batches had slightly lighter lenses, but mine were just far too dark.

It's been on my "to do list" for a while now, so to get a better closer match to how they appeared in the scene, the original black came out and are safely stored inside the case...

They do look light grey but they darken to just the right amount of "mid grey" when worn.
As a good example, if you look at how light the grey color of the right lens is here, where it is away from the face...

And the lightness of the lenses in this shot...

(especially in the highlighted green sections, where the "almost white" glass panel in the background is coming through)...

I acquired another pair and also replaced their jet black lenses too, this time with gradients (grey to clear), for the option of an edgier look...

Finally!! - Got some brand new boxed Paul Smith Walton!!!

Special thanks to my man gio for sharing an "early Christmas" by very kindly helping me...;)(y). I'd been looking for these for so long, I was beginning to think I'd never get them!!

I originally had "OTT" yellow lenses in my EA 4036 placeholders - In a tragic and somewhat traumatic accident, my 4036 frames "bought the farm" in a hot pan of black Rit Dye More:oops:...(The flashbacks should fade with time ). They're in a better place now I'm sure in eyewear heaven.(y)

Anyway, now my Walton's needed customs and after studying the pics a bit more...

...decided to go for a light peach...

...unworn, the color looked good, but after wearing them for a bit, realized they were ever so slightly too dark when on.

Looking at these much better reference pics, IMHO, it reveals just how light the lenses are. On the first pic in particular, the section (furthermost to the right, on the right lens), that isn't over the face...

So decided I had to go a tad lighter just to get that "darker when worn" color even closer...

And alongside my slightly similar Paul Smith Alder's for comparison...
