I have been running frames by my wife, and I had to order a Matsuda M2002 when it got an "I really like those!", beating the previous best in show M3023 (gold/brown/black) which received a score of "That could work, I guess."

Unfortunately they are coming by boat from Europe so I'll have them in about a month.

Von Zippers should get here tomorrow or Friday. Dont know if they can take Rx lenses but at 48$ worst case I have a collectable.

Maybe 2 weeks or so till British Steel lenses arrive. Kinda wonder if I should get the other colorways while they are still cheap on Amazon. The price has dropped since they were first mentioned!

My Diors just arrived! TBH I was not really looking for them, since there are other frames that I like and want even more, but when I saw them available, just couldn’t resist. They are so hard to find that I knew that I would regret it if I didn’t buy them, so I pulled the trigger. After all, I’m a Collector!!

I got a pair too coincidentally...probably from the same place! Are they one size or were they produced in multiple? Mine was a 53 and waaaay too small, wasn’t sure if someone said they made a 55???

I’m sure you got them from the same place I did. Mine are 53 as well, but they are ok for me. I think there’s an even smaller size. 51 if I remember correctly.

Unfortunately, there is no 55mm size in the Dior 137's, only 51mm & 53mm.

If you do want to double check or verify the size of your Dior's though - (From a previous post when I eventually found where the size is indicated)...

If you look where the right lens meets the right nose pad, it's there, really super small. You may have to move the frame around a bit, so that the light catches and reveals the "etched in" numbers.

My phone can't pick it up as it's that small, but it's there.
All it says is 53 - 17.

My first pair were 51's and second pair 53's, I found the 53's to be a totally better fit, as well as obviously being the screen accurate size.

Ah yea, I had a look, they’re definitely 53’s...I must just have a giant head! Haha!! Tbf I always go for the largest sizes when available, got the matsudas in the 57 and the concepts in the larger size! Shame caus the diors are really smart, but they would just gathering dust! Got a pair of Tom Ford Johnson’s for £100 too which was a bargain, really good fit too! Mainly after the tods 0199, so if anyone stumbles across a pair online let me know

BTW, the Initium Concept 2 "oversize" version of 61□15 148, is the closest to the screen accurate Roy Tower Concept 2 SIG size of 61□14 140.(y)

If you are not entirely happy with the fit of the Dior's and are after the Tod's 0199...please bear in mind the Tod's have the same lens width and bridge size (53□17) as the Diors, but with the thin rhodium frame, don't have the thicker almost "Wayfarer" style frame protruding temples as the Dior's, so they will have a much smaller overall frame visual width and fit than the Dior's.

Speaking of the Tod's 0199...I just recently picked up another pair of Tod's 0199 (currently en route), this time the blue lens version.:D

After looking at the NBA trailer screencaps and looking at both my versions, I thought I would ask the question: Which version is this with custom light purple lenses, the green lens frame or the blue lens frame?
20210418_124441.png

I suppose it doesn't really make a whole lot of difference here and maybe I'm being a bit nit-picky, as the "trailer only" scenes are over in a flash anyway.
I know some have the 18V blue and some have the 18N green, but in the past, we've went back over and revisted frames and reevaluated our findings, sometimes to uncover hidden or previously unseen details.

As we all know product shots can be quite misleading sometimes in how the colors are represented, as opposed to how they look in person. Product shots can often be lighter in appearance.

The obvious only difference between the two shiny rhodium frames, besides the stock lens colors, are the "rope arm detail" colors.

The blue 18V having a 3 color rope detail (dark brown, dark navy blue and army/olive green)...

The green 18N having a 1 color rope detail (light brown)...
20210418_093853.png

In the following pics in particular, (despite the resolution not being great:oops:), the color looks "uniform" in that it looks like a lighter, solid and only single color area. There doesn't seem to be any darker 3 color diamond pattern sections within the leather...
20210418_104838.png 20210418_105037.png 20210418_104311.png 20210418_104902.png 20210418_103937.png 20210418_104001.png 20210418_104053.png
The 18V rope detail dark blue and green sections, seem to run more prominently down the side, with the "dark brown" notably running mainly and less visibly along the "top"...
20210428_232750.png

I'm wondering if the darker 3 color rope arm from the 18V blue lens version (even based on a lighter product shot), would be able to look like as light brown and as "plain & even" as this??...
20210418_105202.png

Anyway, I thought I'd throw it out there for discussion, it would be great to hear everyone's thoughts on this!!

Does anyone have better resolution pics, or is able to screenshot a clearer and definitive view of these rope arms?

I have a small request... I'm going to try to get a pair of the blue Kirk and Kirks. If anyone has a coupon code or a better than msrp source please please PM me. So far it looks like I will be ordering straight from the UK mothership and paying <shudder> retail.

Hey UV. I found more Warbies for ya.

Any luck identifying any other Warbies bud?
Does anyone else see a teeny bit of tint in those Arthurs? Just a hint of blue maybe? I just pushed the button on these cause I found some and they were cheap and colorful.

Wow, I just found WP Eaton 358 too! Funny, it's even the same price after shipping, 45$. In for a penny, in for a pound I suppose!
