Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Oh I didnt buy those yet lol. I just found them. But I'm just looking for the Cortlands and Shawfords. Then my "out of production" collection will be done.

Getting all those vintage frames then I can get the other pairs with ease.

No point in buying what's readily available then missing out on a pair you'll have to wait for again.

Im impatient lol
Do you have the OG ROY TOWER concept 2?

Just received my PLD6089/S[emoji845] [emoji41]

A bit off track, but not sure if anyone ID'ed these posted by Jaymig926 way back on page 135.
20200306_164755.png

I can't seem to find any answer to it already, or any mention of the frames here on the thread.

If they are not already ID'ed or common knowledge, then I think they are Warby Parker Eaton 328 tree swallow fade (a greeny blue over light brown) in one size of 52-20-142.

With this forums tried and tested method of turning the image color right up(!), you can see them much better.

I hope that's them, 'cos I've just went and bought some for $30!!

giving up patiently searching for a total bargain, finally ordered some "Flight .006 7806 A" after nearly 2 years!
I'm about to do the same.
Had my eye on this site for a bit: DITA FLIGHT 006 SUN
If I ordered the "Smoke Grey/Black Palladium WITH BLUE MIRROR LENSES" and added the "custom Avengers Light Blue-Grey Lenses with Anti-Reflective", how movie accurate is that?
Scanning through (rather quickly mind you) the crazy number of pages since my last post on this thread (really need to give the 182 pages a proper read, there's gold in here ;) ) I spotted references to the nose pads differing between IW and FFH. These look gold. So IW accurate then?
Figured it's pretty simple just adding the movie lenses in the same transaction here, but are they really screen accurate or just Luxury Eyesite's interpretation of screen accurate? Anyone have experience with these?

On second thought, looks like from Dita direct in Au is a better price (670AUD vs ~800AUD without the avengers lenses)
Would this be a better source, and gets the avengers (they're different for FFH hey?) lenses from another supplier? Who's good?

The IW 006's definitely have the gold nose pads...

..so 7806 "A".

*** edit**
It's probably already been covered with different pics, but you can see the gold nose pads on the FFH 006's in most shots, including when they are dropped on the bus...
20200308_161156.png

As far as the movie 006 lenses go, I believe there are a few routes for you to take:

Jason's own light blue.
Dita's own light blue (etched "Dita Flight 006").
Luxury Eyesite's own light blue.
Tanya from propspecs own light blue.

They seem to all vary slightly in how light blue they are, but IMO if you want 100% movie accurate, then it's Tanya's blue lenses, as I think she made the actual movie versions.

On that Dita direct in Au link, the image starts with the correct frames, but you can't "add them to basket". There's only the 6 other versions available.
I've noticed too, most retailers are charging more for the 7806 A SMK-PLD than the other 006 colors.
Mine have shipped!:D

Posted before Here’s mine with the Dita lenses. I bought direct from Dita came with silver nose pads but I called Dita and they directed me to my local Dita store and they installed the gold colored pads and I also kept the silver

So it looks like the 7th sons were used in Matte by Banner and polished by Hammer. So if you want to collect all the pairs in the MCU you'll need both.

Correct me if Im wrong though.

Damn. Let me add them the other day. They don't appear there anymore :(

I probably won't get that chance being in Aus. Not many if any Dita stores here.
Tanya from propspecs
Is there a web address or contact details for propspecs?

Can't really tell if the luxuryeyesite ones have gold pads. The only pic for the blue mirrored ones is a less res screen grab from IW

Tanya is most readily reachable if you add her on Instagram. She does have an email but she answers immediately to alot of my questions on @prop.specs on instagram

So I suggest you all make one. She's quite nice :)

Luxury Eyesite have both 7806 G (dark grey lenses/silver nose pads) & 7806 A (blue mirror lenses/gold nose pads).
It let's you add both "to cart", but it looks like both are "pre paid" - "first come first serve" orders only, as they are both on back order...

7806 A expected June 2020.
7806 G expected late March in a limited supply.

Info. updated today..
20200309_201032.png

A tiny bit misleading though, as they state "the smoke grey colors are exactly the same with the exception of the original Dita lenses that are included".
True, yes, but the nose pads are different colors.

Easily rectified though, if you have access to a Dita store, like Jaymig926 said, Dita will swap them.
If you don't, persevere for the 7806 A, as Dita haven't responded to any emails I have ever sent them:rolleyes:

Looks like Pretavoir just ran out of 7806 A too...

You can also email Tanya at prop.specs@yahoo.com

I've blanked out the serial no. on the box, 'cos I have to register them with Dita.

The roll up case is a bit weird (but still stylish), if I take them outside, I think I'll be putting them in a hard case for more protection!

So for anyone's reference, I though it would be a good opportunity to share my quick and honest comparison of the 006's with the Magnoli's.

They seem the same in size and looks.
I don't think there would be many outside of our thread, that could even notice the difference.

20200310_102949.jpg 20200310_103553.jpg
It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that as the lenses look so alike, they probably would be able to be swapped over....I'll probably carefully try this at some point, to see how accurate the sizes are.

On my (probably not that accurate) Salter digital kitchen scales, the 006's are 24g and the Magnoli's come in at 20g.

The initial small differences when looked at quite close are:

The nose pad holder arms emanate from the main frame differently....
20200310_113831.jpg
...and the gold nose pads on the 006's are longer and "fixed", whereas the Magnoli's are shorter, shaped different and have a gentle "rattle" in the pad holder - (the same nose pad rattle as my M3023's! - maybe my Matsuda's need tightening!)

The 006's smoke palladium frame color is slightly darker than the more shiny and polished frame on the Magnoli's.
20200310_102906.jpg
The nose bridge is shaped more rounded on the 006's.
The brow bar is thicker and protrudes further outwards off the frame front on the 006's.
20200310_135255.jpg
The lenses are slightly more convex on the Magnoli's.
20200310_113946.jpg 20200310_114001.jpg

The blue transparent lens rim inserts are a bit more blue on the Magnoli's, more noticable when held up to the light.

20200310_125231.jpg 20200310_125201.jpg

Finer, less noticable details that are different:

The hinge screws.
The diamond pressed details.
Obviously, the various model etchings and markings.

One thing I did notice, is that the 006's smoke grey palladium frames seem to pick up fingerprints etc. fairly easily when handled, compared to the Magnoli's, which don't seem to need as much attention from the polishing cloth.
This may just be down to me being a lot more nervous handing the 006's! Lol.

In the same vein as Mosley Tribes Bromley's v Initium 3000's, overall, the Magnoli frames really do hold up well against the 006's and with them being also in titanium, IMO are amazing value, especially with the polarized lenses and the polished wooden FFH style box.

I'm really pleased to own both pairs.:D
That said, my wallet is worried I've now caught the Dita bug....no known cure!!

Now it's time to sort out which avenue to go down for the light blue lenses!

Off track a bit...
Picked up this rather nice Matsuda felt lined presentation/storage case with outer box.
20200310_150251.jpg
I think it must be wood as it feels solid and weighty like wood. From what I can gather, they originally came supplied with the 1016H model.
20200310_150219.jpg

My plan was to store the M3023's inside, but annoyingly, both their boxes are a bit big in height and the lid won't close! D'oh!
20200310_145143.jpg

Two slimmer design OG Matsuda cases will fit though:unsure:

So I've had to settle for now, just keeping the M2002's in there.
20200310_150405.jpg

It has given them that extra premium expensive luxury touch ;), very similar to expensive jewelry or watches.
