Maybe someone could use that same high res for the end of civil war, caus I’m not sure the shawfords have been 1000% identified the same way?? They Live, Men in Black, X-Men are just a few off the top of my head.

All those mentioned above plus the Blinde Design sunglasses in the Matrix; Gargoyles in Terminator and Matsuda 2809 in T2; Wayfarers in Blues Brothers; Ray-ban Aviators in Top Gun; Persol 714 with blue lenses on McQueen on the Thomas Crown Affair. There’s probably hundreds of noteworthy eyewear. Probably not exactly noteworthy but I liked the Ray-Ban Olympia in the Daredevil movie.

It’s weird that we were questioning the colour of the Matsudas in the end scene of iron man, when if you look at that scene that and the SuperBowl ad, it looks like he’s wearing the same shirt/jacket combo in both...cdv possibly filmed them both on the same day?!!

I got a pair of Diors in tortoise I want to experiment on.

I'm too scared to bring my black diors out in public as I already dropped them skateboarding and almost ran them over with my board...

Apologies, I'm a few posts behind.....I've tried to get a good shot of the Shawford's for you, to put your mind at rest...


You can see the "bevel" metal arm a bit better below and how it tapers into the temple tip...

....the arms are metal "black gunmetal" in color, and different to the rest of the plastic frame.

I'm also trying to figure out a way to dye my British Steel's black.
Rit Dyemore might do it, but you have to heat up the liquid.
I'm concerned that this may warp the frames.
I'll have to test it on some super cheap frames first!

Speaking of super cheap (and perfect for skateboarding!), I put some dark slightly gradient brown lenses in some reverse Neymar copies...


If it weren't for the different hinge set up (single hinge instead of double), for $9 these seem really good copies.
The size, weight and feel in quality seems just about spot on, when compared to my original s1948's.
