Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

did you get the lense lightened on the superunknowns? I assumed from the Monaco scene that they were just the stock lenses

No, they are the original "Initium" stock lenses, they go really dark brown when worn, actually, come to think of it, I don't think I have any that seem to change in color so much when worn....when I first got them I thought they were wrong, but worn, they are absolutely screen accurate!

Slightly a bit away from current discussions, but going back over the 111 page thread, there hasn't been a whole lot on the Superunknown's.
Has anyone found that although the lens size & width is really excellent, the arms are a bit tight?

I rectified mine using a hairdryer (nerves of steel..lol) and a bit of heating and bending, hoping that I didn't break the arms. The fit is spot on now, but I couldn't help wonder how every frame (possibly excluding my 51mm CD 137's, which fit but...hhmmm!?!), all look and fit just fine.

Anyway, I've had mine a good while now and just incase anyone doesn't have a pair yet, (I know most do), here is some pics showing a few of the nice details.
The lenses seem light, but "magically" go significantly darker when worn.

Nice pair of Initiums! I need to add these to my to do list. Does anyone have a high res shot of the Monaco scene? I'm in the camp that it was London Callings in that scene, for a variety of reasons, but can be persuaded otherwise if there is some better evidence.

They are 100% the Superunknown's in the Monaco scene.
For some reason, the Initium website has never acknowledged this, but it is more than obvious.

Has anyone called Dita and asked if they sell the custom blue lenses by themselves?
Good idea man on lenses only, yet IMO, the jury is still out on the correct tint of light blue, not only the "exactness" of the Infinity War lenses, but also on the S.FFH lenses...I think they are slightly different.

Apparently a Dita rep has told me they well sell the lenses separately in September. Hopefully they do I love having the Dita logo on my lenses

Personally I think that they are the superunknowns in Monaco, but at the time, initium already had pics of rdj wearing them...

So to get sales higher on the London callings, they said it was them I reckon

To me it looks pretty close to the Infinity War lenses. At points in FFH, it looks very similar like it seemed in the bus scene; in others, it looks nothing alike, as when Peter had EDITH hanging off of his white t-shirt and we can see the lenses were very blue. But I think there were multiple lenses made for the movie depending on the lighting.

Still, i would not be surprised if there were slight differences between the DITA lenses and the movie lenses. DITA didn’t have anything to do with the movie lenses and this release was simply their approximation of the tint to capitalize on the movies’ popularity.

Yep, no question they are the Superunknown's in tortoise, the stock lenses in mine really do go that dark.
