Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Regardless of lense color. When you wear them, which do you think look better on you? Black frame or tortoise?
I've "only" got the black. They were the ones I personally wanted most. I think they will look great when they're complete.

I've also got the Brown Berluti Rue De Sevres with the lens guys for purple lenses. I'm excited for those too! I've always really liked them - I thought they were Bernado initially until this forum confirmed the truth of it back in the day :)

I've got the Santa Cruz hat, can't wait to combine them in the summer

Maybe both would suit me.

I also think the color of the lens is very important.
It is key to try and get the correct tint, after all in many cases we're spending a decent wedge of cash to pick up a particular, long sought after frame.

Actually getting the lens colour as close possible is also very satisfying and can be quite frustrating.

I always use my black Bernado as a good example. The lens in those is my favourite tint colour in my collection. The first time I saw it I was taken with it in the beautiful gloss black Bernado frame but as I gathered more images it became apparent how much light, angle etc changes the look of the colour.

It was a real headache for my lens suppliers to match, it took weeks of back and forth until, I'm happy to say they nailed it. The joy (and relief) of that was real lol.

Im the black soloist is actually a 20-25% grey tint. Anyway, just got the Oliver Peoples No.3 ov5527u and JMM ascari in clear! (Prob going to blend "seagreen" color for the OP No.3 lenses) View attachment 1906558View attachment 1906559View attachment 1906557
I've gone light blue for my black Soloist 4 (I still can't believe I'm saying that Lol)

This tint is a funny one - i think grey would be a bit harsh, I'm thinking the Basel.

I do think there is a suggestion of blue in there, the flight 006 being a good reference. My lens people have sent me a couple sample images of the tint so far - my first reaction was "too grey" but the same tint in a different light does show the blue somewhat.

My fingers are nervously crossed lol

Great finds - especially the JMM!

She supposedly created the Endgame blue Dita lenses and the Persol 2430 lenses from Black Widow's funeral scene from Endgame.
Interesting, I never really looked at the lenses of those frames in the movie. They look colorful in the pics but I always assumed they were brownish in the movie.

Should be grey over brown... but light greys can look different in different light and background

In my opinion, this color template is the closest to SA in the Persol 2430-S. Yes, even more so than Tanya's recreation of her Endgame work. Done from my lab of course might sound bias but not all my lenses are completely correct either. But I do keep a record of tint percentage/palette tones at least lol

You can see the actual lenses she used on her Instagram. I negotiated with Tanya many times and ordered three times before I was able to get something close to the real thing.

The reason it is currently difficult to reproduce the actual color of lenses is that our technicians have changed due to the pandemic.

Also, it is extremely difficult to achieve this color by applying a blue AR coating as a finish.
