Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Am I lucky that I got sunglasses with a number of 1/200? Is the 61mm size limited to 200 pieces? I wonder if the serial number is randomly selected and shipped.

My "oversize" 61mm are no. 68 of 200.
I think there must have just been a random stack of boxed Concept 2's and you got really lucky!!! :D(y)

Very Lucky Indeed!

I am trying to be good after spending real money on Black Friday, but some real bargains have floated by...

OP Stone in tortoise for $42, totally unworn,
and Brown Corsairs, used but pretty good, for $30!

At that price point it's almost a crime not to buy them, really.

My Giorgio Armani Garconne with custom yellow lenses and Black Oliver Peoples Bernado gloss black with pink/red lenses arrived back yesterday. I'm so happy with them.

I also ordered this Metallica t-shirt which I thought really cool. I've got a pair of frames arriving on Tuesday, they'll be my last for a while. I'll share those when they arrive. I'm very excited for those :)

My replica JMM Ascari Titan arrived and despite not being very optimistic of what I would receive, I gotta say for the price, I'm a bit impressed...
20221219_145108.jpg

Despite not having genuine Ascari's to compare them to, they seem really high quality, excellent hinges and a sturdy frame which has a fair bit of weight to it...

It looks like all the brand markings/logos are present, even down to the etched left lens...

Replica presentation box, storage pouch etc....
(It's not the end of the world, but the limited production batch number is wrong though, the Titan is supposed to be limited to 350 (the frame says 52/500 and the certificate card says 29/250).

20221219_145427.jpg

For only $58 as stand-in placeholders I would definitely recommend them. Although this also means that finding genuine originals is going to be a lot more challenging than it was previously. Beware of those $100 to $200 "bargains" as they may not be genuine with these replicas now infiltrating the marketplace.

My "final set of frames (for a while)" arrived today, a day early.

They are the Matsuda M3023 in cobalt/blue size 52mm.

Absolutely beautiful, I was surprised how noticeable the size was compared to my black/gold 57s, I prefer the size 52, at least on my face.

I need to shout out to UV who messaged me last week to give me the heads up on the price reduction on this UK supplier.

I've said many times what an outstanding group this is and this has been highlighted once again!

Please show me what you are wearing.

I said the cobalt/blue Matsuda M3023 were my last purchase but that lasted like 2 days before I purchased the gold/black version in size 52. LOL

Once I'd worn the cobalt/blue 52 my black/gold in 57 just didn't feel right.

They should arrive on Thursday, they'll be sent off for the custom red lenses immediately - and that will definitely be my last purchase in a while.

We're just off to our favourite Italian restaurant for Christmas Dinner, the Kirk and kirk Carter are the choice for today.

A happy Christmas and healthy New year to everyone!

Yeah - the Cobolt/Blue Matsudas are pretty much my go to frame on a daily basis. They are exceptional.

Removed the light blue lenses of my replica Jacques Marie Mage Ascari "Titan" in an attempt to turn them into Ascari "Division". Despite the frames being gloss black on the outside instead of matt, they'll certainly do as stand-in placeholders for the time being.

I looked at some excellent reference pics of original JMM Ascari Division "light orange/red" lenses...

I can always pop the light blue lenses back in if I have any blue in my outfit.

Received my 52mm Matsuda M3023 in cobalt from the same UK retailer as Naihanchi...

I already had 52mm gold & matte black from Luxury Eyesite with their own custom red lenses and had reluctantly settled for a bargain $48 pair of blue in 57mm (p.247 & p.248).

The price on the cobalt 52mm was too good to pass up and were a total must have as "screen accurate" frames, not too mention the other main significance for IM frame collecting, in that it was these very frames that kick started this whole magnificent thread off in the first place!!

Like Naihanchi, I too prefer the 52mm, they just seem to fit perfectly!!

I had to amend my presentation box a little to accommodate the new 52's...

I'm delighted they've arrived at last!

The irony of my finally getting the very pair which started this forum thread wasn't lost on me either - better late than never I guess!! Lol

You have an awesome set of presentations there!

My Matsuda M3023 size 52 in black/gold arrived yesterday.

I got them at a good price of £304 from the same retailer as the cobalt/blue 52mm. £304 is hardly cheap but they were at least £120 cheaper than the next best price i could find, so still a "bargain", particularly as they were a UK purchase with free shipping.

Once they have the custom red lenses made and installed I will be beyond happy :)

I still have to get the 52 Matsudas also, maybe later in the new year, I'm being cheap after the Black Friday buys.

And speaking of cheap, how about this bulk buy: Ray Ban warriors, OP Jannsson, and OP Braverman for $90 before shipping?

I also dropped $13, just for giggles, on this 9/10th scale "stunt double" for the Matsuda M2002, just to find out how close they were.
They are Guess GU 1567 size 52-17-135. The Matsuda are 57 width. Not as well made, of course but may be of use in riskier circumstances.

Those Jannsson look the same as mine. Not the tortoise shell effect but lovely frames nonetheless. You've reminded me that I haven't worn mine for ages, I may have to do something about that soon.

The Warrior's are a strange frame. Quite small on the face but somehow "right".

Yes, they sit so close to face it kind of feels like wearing goggles. And they wrap around so much it makes the arms quite short when looking at them in hand, though they feel fine when on.
