Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Hey guys, just started collecting a few years ago so I’m a bit late to the game but man it’s a damn fun hobby that has turned into a passion. Thanks to everyone here I’ve got enough info and education to get further with my collection. That being said these pairs are getting hard to find. Is anyone still here that have extra Stark frames?

Not many people have it all. we are still finding it.

If you put in resold items that are slightly different or in different colors, you can almost match them. I got a late start too.

Matsuda m2002
Initium Superunknown (initium is out of the old style frame)
Paul Smith Shawford
OP Strathmore
Looking for these mainly, just to name a few

It's never too late to start having fun! Sometimes people do sell off extras (I have done and usually use Ebay) but I will also happily keep an eye out if you let me know your top wants. We just can't directly link off forum sales though. Anti-spam behavior rule I think.

I understand that and I’ve got a few great deals on EBay as well, I just posted the top few I’m looking for too. I appreciate it though, lmk if you seen my previous post. Gotta say it was great grabbing the Tom Ford Johnsons! Just bought the grey fade OP Bernardos too, I’ll have to get all my frames together and post a pic

Anyone know where to get the best budget "replacement lens"? Also is there a similar or fill in frame for OP strathmore? Closest Ive found is oakley

Found Cutler and gross 1308!

Just so you guys know, Initium eyewear does not stock the original Superunknown frames, the switched to a new design, it’s a bit more round. Personally I’m a fan of the old. Stark frames are getting tough to find!

I am of the same opinion as you. I luckily got a real frame for cheap.
Lucky, I found a pair but they are $360 and I would have to get the brown gradient lenses. And I just bought the gold Matsuda m3023 for $325. Kinda rough on the wallet but good deal on those at least.

Latest pics...
(More wallet busting frames!! - Man these things are priceeey!! $$$)...

Looks like these are Jacques Marie Mage Thundercloud 6F Marquina (blue mineral) from the "Last Frontier" collection (Limited production batch of 200 pieces) (52□25 147)...;)

I hate the “last frontier” collection, they’re the expensive line of an already expensive brand

but I saw a couple of them at my optician when I bought other jmm, the quality is above their ordinary frames. not worth all that money imo, but you can see the work behind it

A lot of expensive brands seem to be going down this route, such as Dita, with their Epiluxury range, where they have an even more premium version of their previous creations which were also all advertised as high end perfection.

A better premium version of what a brand has already previously vigorously marketed and established as premium, just sounds a bit questionable IMO.

IMO it only serves to hypothetically devalue the "normal" versions inadvertently by their own indirect admission.

But I suppose if they use even more expensive materials like Initium's Silver Collection and the frames construction is all 925 silver, the big price hike is at least justified a bit. The JMM Thundercloud acetate frames might use silver in the detailing, but beyond that, it's still just a frame of acetate construction.

That all said, I wouldn't say no to any brand frame of this "premium of premium" category if a bargain came along!!

I've ID'ed another pair of Paul Smith Kendon PM8210, but this time the 1395 (matte "burnt clay" frame front with matt black arms) with custom brown/orange lenses...

Like every Kendon frame they are available in both 48mm & 50mm, but I think they are probably the 48□21 145 being worn here.

I've managed to find a pair in 50mm.

Here's my Paul Smith Kendon PM8210 1395 (50□21 145)...

I didn't have a donor lens color match for these, so out of necessity in wanting to wear them straight away, I had to put in the closest lenses I had (they are way too light) but will have to do for now.

Pictured with the 1396 (matt purple frame front) in 48mm (1396 worn here)...

I much prefer the size and fit of the 50mm, that larger width of a few mm makes all the difference and the 50mm fit a lot like the OP Sheldrake.

I also have the 1392 (root beer float) in 50mm, which were worn by Christian Slater in Mr. Robot...

They came with random prescription lenses and l just need to get around to dropping some clear customs in.

I had been using these Cutler And Gross 1012 GP (54□21 140) as near match stand in placeholders...

The 1214 are essentially just a larger 53mm version of the smaller 50mm 0692...
