Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Seeing as we’re kinda going over old topics and reassessing, does anyone think that the initium black all-ins from ultron, are the original stock lenses, or custom lighter version?? Can’t decide myself...they look lighter in the movie and in pics online as you can see his eyes clearly, but that might be from the sun and movie lights etc!
They look a little lighter with anti reflective coatings to me. They’re definitely darker than most of his tints tend to be though.

Could someone post pictures so we could see the stock lenses worn in a normal light environment? I’ve been asking me that same question

I only brought it up based on a pic that ken0415 sent recently of his glasses collection! The all-in in black look like they had a lighter lense than I’ve seen, maybe he could fill us in on wether he had them changed?!

So, the Ironman 2 "driving" British Steel's are the "tortoise"?
I just assumed they were the black horn like the deleted scene versions!
I've looked at the scene again and there is definitely brown there, especially on the arm.

Phew, just in the nick of time too, was about to dye my tortoise versions black, to get screen accurate. No need now, so thanks!!

Also, the ending of IM2 All-In's, are they gold??
I thought they were the silver, with (possibly) brown lenses swapped in.
As the scene seems to have been shot during sunrise or sunset, did the highly polished silver take on a very slight golden color with all of the reflections?

So, the lenses look a lot less brown than I thought, are these just the AI-006 from the Senate hearing scene and the "warm" colored lighting is making them look different??

Both colors are confirmed by Jason.

clearly they’re not though!! Nothing to do with him wanting everyone to buy them in multiple colours perhaps!! Mmmmm...

I've gotten to know Jason pretty well while working on this project. Nothing about him or his actions have suggested to me that he values profit over accuracy.

He agrees that the IM3 London Calling was very likely Red Havana, but isn't sure how they got the pair. (Apparently a couple of the frames were lost on IM2, so his speculation is that they were found and re-used.) Nobody is infallible, but Jason is a primary source. He was on set. He created and provided the frames. If he says the IM2 medal scene frame was gold, I'll default to trusting his intentions at the very least.

The movie lenses are lighter with antireflective backing. I just got the lighter lenses but the color grading makes them look darker.

Tbh these lenses suck in sunlight as they're like wearing clear lenses and the glare sucks. Dark lenses for outdoors, the lighter ones are good indoors.

Hey everyone doing some research, Mercari has low ratings and is prone to scams and really good fake items. I had several people I lead there who got irritated at me due to fake items they've recieved due to my referrals which is one reason I quit sharing.

But be wary, I just had several purchases overseas on my card and had to cancel.

I understand that he’s a good source of information because they’re his products, but he mislabelled the Superunknowns as London calling, said the red Havana’s weren’t in IM3 and has never once claimed on his website or any social media (and IM2 has been out years now) that Tony is wearing the gold pair in the end scene! Hes advertised the silver all-ins soooo much over the years as being ‘Tony Stark glasses’, but somehow out of nowhere he now ‘remembers’ that the gold pair were also used (even though they’re clearly silver) and yet he never thought to advertise them as such before!! Doesn’t sit right with me to be honest!!

Agreed he once told me that the blue all ins wear going to be in Endgame and i believed it after I saw the film not realising that they wear actual the GL canals later confirmed by this thread.

The biggest giveaway that they aren't the the golds to me is that the temple tips are clear. The original gold initiums didn't have clear temple tips, they were very dark. You can see the temple core very clearly in both the Medal scene and the Monaco race scene.

Tanya did these. They're very, very close to the lenses Initium sells, just with the AR coating. I have 100% screen-accurate lenses if you'd like a photo for comparison.

Anyone have All-Ins with wear and tear or is this me not taking care of my glasses?

Yea that’s cool, send a pic!! If they’re super close then I might not bother getting them changed!! Did she go with a lighter tint percentage do you know??

Yep, that is a great clue.

I just took a look at the medal scene again because of this recent controversy, watching it in 4K on an 86” screen. There is no way the All-In was gold. it Is glaringly a silver frame no matter what Jason claims.

So I found out something that may put this issue with Initium’s inconsistent claims in much better context.
I looked through their Facebook page all the way back to when IM2 was released and they did say the All-in’s, Superunknowns, British Steels, and in a deleted scene the London Callings were used in the film. But the curious bit was that it was posted by someone named Darin Dennee.
Turns out Darin is the founder and designer for Initium back in 2000, and Jason (according to his LinkedIn anyway) only took over as president in 2011 a year after IM2 was released.
Now this doesn’t mean Jason wasn’t around and involved with Initium but it may explain some of his inconsistent claims because he may be going off of old info or trying to pull something from memory. But he doesn’t claim to be head of the company at the time and that it most likely means Darin was more involved in the production of IM2 than Jason was. This is purely speculative but it takes away a lot of what could be misinterpreted as “maliciously false” information to boost sales and make it more accurately “mistaken” information going off of something that happened around 10 years ago.
Not wanting to fuel a drama fire, I’m hoping this will help put it out and get us to just trust our eyes more of what we see on the screen.

Top notch research work dude!!...
....The pieces of the jigsaw are all starting to fit together and seem to make sense.
