Cad Bane BoBF reference

I got fairly lucky, more so my coworker has. I’m somewhat short for a stormtrooper so I ask tall people around me if they’ll model tall costumes for me, just to feed my costume girder tendencies.
Well my tall coworker isn’t caught up on BoBF but we started talking boots today, so I showed him the Cad Bane boots without spoiling the wearer. And he was kinda obsessed with the style. We looked as many probably have and sizes online and in our area are sparse on the below $200 budget. I check FB marketplace though and found his size 13 in a used pair for $90. Offered $50 hoping to settle at $60’ish, but $50 was enough. They’re technically a slightly different model of boot, but the sole matches and has the strap, and some extra riveted detailing, which honestly once we mod them with the ring and steel toe, I think would’ve been a superior boot. I’ll probably through a thread together on the conversion.
Here is the sellers photos

I'm an idiot. I'm pretty positive I actually have a pair of those exact riding boots in my closet, right now. I must be getting slow in my old age... totally should've caught this.

So I ended up picking up the 3D mask files from Do3D and they are excellent, They updated them with two different interchangeable expressions via magnets, one neutral face (Pictured) and another that's more of a mid speech/ grimace. The hose connectors aren't pictured but they are pretty accurate too! Cant wait to start printing this guy!

keep up the good work guys,
cant wait to see the amazing projects people are doing,

Just my opinion. But if you are after any accuracy, the Do3D files are not very accurate at all. If accuracy doesn't matter, then that's totally fine :)

hello, good research. I am also working on the costume but also on a latex prosthesis with a red sclerotic lens. I know I wouldn't have the big eyes of cad bane but I wanted to try

I decided this week I'm going to take a crack at Cad Bane for NYCC. I've never done anything this involved before and this thread has been super helpful so far. I would never have found the right boots on my own or even think of cpap hoses.

Anyway, I didn't see a definitive answer for the trench coat so I got in contact with a custom jacket maker online. Sent them a bunch of reference photos (some posted here so thank you guys for that) and brief description of what I was looking for. Got a response back that they can do it for $550 shipped. Do you guys think that's a good price?

For a custom coat, I don’t think $550 is unreasonable. Of course, that’s all dependent on how the piece actually comes out…

Look forward to seeing what you pull together for NYCC!
