Building my own Batcave -- transformation vid 10-7-11

Re: Building my own Batcave -- small update 9/12/1

very nice build. i know that you switched from paper to the sacking but how did you get the paper to stick to the chicken wire, did you just use pva

I actually used a thin foam instead of the paper, yeah. I didn't make it stick to the chicken wire because I couldn't find an easy way to make that work -- so I stapled it to the wall where the wire went back against the wall. Staples worked well.

This is so sweet! Great job. Almost makes me want to turn my "geek" room into a full fledged Batcave.

does anyone think wrinkled and painted cardboard could be a worthy compromise for the cave walls?

I originally used wrinkled butcher paper that was semi-painted black and it looked great! Problem was that it was a HUGE fire hazard (cardboard too) and the paper attracts creepy-crawlies. Wouldn't suggest that for a longer-term cave.

I remember seeing in some batman movies/animated that batman had some glass displays for all his suits. If you end up acquiring more it may be an idea?

I wish I could have found an image to allow what I'm saying to make any sense! :D but it looks amazing!?

Thanks for the inspiration! Here are a few things I'm sure you'll want to see. Some of them you may already know about. And a couple of things that may be new to you.
