very nice build. i know that you switched from paper to the sacking but how did you get the paper to stick to the chicken wire, did you just use pva

I actually used a thin foam instead of the paper, yeah. I didn't make it stick to the chicken wire because I couldn't find an easy way to make that work -- so I stapled it to the wall where the wire went back against the wall. Staples worked well.

does anyone think wrinkled and painted cardboard could be a worthy compromise for the cave walls?

I originally used wrinkled butcher paper that was semi-painted black and it looked great! Problem was that it was a HUGE fire hazard (cardboard too) and the paper attracts creepy-crawlies. Wouldn't suggest that for a longer-term cave.

I remember seeing in some batman movies/animated that batman had some glass displays for all his suits. If you end up acquiring more it may be an idea?
