Black series XWing Pilot helmet up for pre-order on Amazon

I'd love for them to release these (and the Poe helmet) in unpainted white (or light gray) plastic. Just blank helmets that we can do ourselves for say, $80 instead of $100. And why in the hell haven't they integrated a Bluetooth headset into these yet? It seems like such a no-brainer. If I get one, I think I'll have to try that.

I’ve speculated in the past that Hasbro probably has to walk a fine line when it comes to what they are allowed to do in order to not conflict with exclusive nature of the existing Star Wars licenses held by Anovos and eFx.
with that being said, I think Hasbro has to make the helmets with playability features rather than features that my serve more useful for cosplay purposes such as Bluetooth. I would further speculate that they were able to include a Bluetooth feature on the Starlord helmet because their MCU license allowed them to do so.

Like I said, it is just speculation.

If that's true, they walked right on the line because this is close to replica territory. It's the best one yet imho. I love mine.

Totally agree. It looks proportionate and is about the right size, there are no screw holes anywhere on the outside, the battery compartment and button are well hidden, it's got some nice weight to it, it's punching weigh above the $100 price point. The only thing I would maybe do is put a nicer liner in it with some added velcro as MJF said. It definitely satisfied my craving for a Red 5 until I decide to bite the bullet and get an RS. Now I'm even more excited for the Fett's helmet.

I'm no expert, but in a comparison shot I saw, next to two other (unknown makers) replicas, it definitely looked smaller, but maybe by more like 5-10%.

I hope its ok to post but I saw this on Facebook as a comparison woth another helmet. The photo is nit mine so I will rwmkve it if nees be.
I can't remember who the other is made by but Hasbro is on the left.

As far as sizing for cosplay, really it is about the fit and look imho. So a one size fits all won’t exist. To me overall it looks pretty good based on the comparison shots and the Poe fits great, maybe ever so slightly snug with the original padding.

Do you need a target card for it? How does one go about ordering and getting the 25 off?
It's applied automatically in your shopping cart. I just found another toy that costs $1 to make the subtotal needed. You don't need your Target card, but if you have one that's an extra 5% off.

You will have to add something cheap to your order as the helmet alone is a penny short to get the $25 off. Also, not all of the cheap toys will count for some reason. It looks like most (but not all?) clearance toys wont apply and some things that can't be shipped... to the store, I guess? I just added this to get it... American Plastic Toys Inc. Large Pail and Shovel

If you spent at least $50 at a Target store, don't forget you can also use your Target gift card. I got another $10 off because I had the gift card from my purchases on Friday. :)

I might add a touch more weathering and I found some of the tan/brown ear cushions from a real Aph-6 helmet to put in. The stock ones that came with it are nice and very comfy, but the leather will give a nice touch.
I am more than satisfied.

I walked past the toy isle at my store this morning.
Most of what I saw was lots of Legos and Funko Pop figures.
I was told 2 guy's (that I saw) waited till everything was put out and took all the premium stuff.

I didn't get a chance to go down the isle to look since it was crowded.

Non of the Frozen 2 stuff has sold since Fridays release.

My sister does, now I owe her lol

Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it.

I see all the talk about the size and it being small...in my opinion (whatever that’s worth lol) it looks to be smaller than the OT helmets; however, the helmets used in Rogue One are smaller and this helmet might be to scale inline with those.

I think people are so used to seeing helmets that are a bit too big which is why this helmet seems small to some. In hand and certainly on my head, it doesn't look small.

Its actually pretty close in size to the RS,which is a more accurate size. The EFX and some others are oversized by a fair bit.
