Black Series Helmets - whats next after Boba Fett

TIE/AT-AT helmets you don't really have to wait for. Get a Stormtrooper and a Luke/X-Wing and make a new mowhawk strip from sheet plastic. Most of the greeblies are on shapeways. About the only thing I'm not sure of are the earcaps. Still leaves the life-support box -- but Inferno Squad would be no trouble at all -- the helmets are discrete unto themselves.

The only issue there is the mohawk is 2 inches on the rebel helmet. The ties are 3 inch.

I really hope they rerelease the Stormtrooper helmet. I really have fallen in love with mine lately especially after adding padding. Now I really wish I bought like five more when I had the chance. They rereleased the Vader helmet so maybe they will?

If you don't mind doing some repainting, Best Buy has the Incinerator Trooper in stock & currently on clearance for $89.

I've been thinking about it and I'd really want a Clone trooper helmet. Probably a mark I since it's so different from a regular Stormtrooper. But can a human head actually fit?

Nose would be a bit smushed. To get the shape they wanted, the tip of the nose of the CG model poked through the visor... so they just cut it off. Something-something spite face...

I actually already like their old Phase I Clone Trooper helmet toy. As with all things that start out with the word "toy" in the description, I go into it expecting to do work. Most of the side slits need repositioning, the earcaps need a little work, the cheeks need some filling in, the annunciator needs to be replaced and its housing repositioned and reworked, the visor needs to be narrowed, the back of the fin needs reshaping (and three red LEDs run)... Sounds like a lot, but it's the same sort of fiddly work I put into a Black Series Stormtrooper. *shrug* That gets it to "realistic animated style". To get it to movie style, the bottom of the helmet opening needs to be closed in with something Hasbro would never spring for on a BS helmet -- some sort of glossy molded rubber lower helmet and neck ring, closing in back with rare-earth magnets. That's the only way to get a Phase I or II bucket on without a face/back-off method and somewhat match its use in the films.

I was just thinking of another helmet I would like to see and it would be pretty simple for Hasbro to do as it would just be a repaint of the Boba Fett helmet... The animated Holiday Special Boba Fett helmet. I think that would be pretty neat. I would gladly buy that in a heartbeat.

Tie helmets are the biggest of all the helmets. If they did do one, I doubt it would be accurate size of the original.

Biker scout is a nice idea.

Y wing or boussh also a great idea. My favorite ship in Star wars

Biker Scout and Boussh are great ideas!! I would buy both in a heart beat....but a part of me really wants something from Naboo....

I will try to constrain my wish list to those that are realistic product releases.

  • The Mandalorian (Din Djarin)
  • TIE helmet
  • Scout helmet
  • Rex helmet phase 2 (I prefer the Rex over any other Clone helmet but I would be in for any clone helmet)

I would probably buy any helmet as long as it was well done.

I'd love a Boussh helmet, but I think it's too minimal of a character for them ever to consider for this line. And the Endor rebel helmet - I think it's not recognizable enough to most people.

I'd say there's a strong chance for the Scout Trooper, with it being featured on the Mandalorian.

And thats the thing, Hasbro will stick to the most recognizable helmets with the widest appeal to the general public. So I think you can forget about an AT-AT pilot helmet, which was on screen for what, 10 seconds? But your list is pretty realistic, I think with Mando and a scout trooper being most likely.

I was thinking about what I would like to see next, and I remembered that all of these helmets have an electronic gimmick. So unless the Mando helmet is a voice changer, Hasbro may wait until the Mando gets some kind of upgrade to his helmet in a future season before releasing one. I don’t know if it’s been confirmed, but I believe the electronic feature is a must for this line.

With that in mind, a Scout Trooper with a faceplate that raises automatically would be cool. I also think a Deathtrooper would be a no-brainer. It’s popular, is featured in The Mandolorian, and has a built in electronic gimmick with the light up aerators. They could even release a variant that has the specialist scope.

Yeah, I think the Hasbro one's have to have some kind of toy action and like you said, with the Mandalorian, it would probably be a voice changer like they did with Kylo and the Stormtrooper.

Its gotta be a Mando... nothing else makes a lot of sense. If its on par with the Boba they just put a little bit of careful weathering and it would be damn good.

But how cool would a the training helmet with the blast shield down that you could actually see through be? I don't know how that would be done but it would be super cool :)

But remnant f'd up trooper helmets from the Mando seem like an easy get as well - could also be "sandtrooper" helmets I suppose.

Scout Trooper would just have a voice changer same as the stormtrooper. Another +1 for hasbro not having to engineer something new.

Honestly, I think the electronic gimmicks on these are just loopholes to the "toy" license they have.
