Bandai release schedule

If anyone's interested, some bandai SW kits are officialy available in Europe now - Suchergebnis für

And yeah, 1:72 TIE bomber would be awesome, or 1:72 Lambda shuttle. Or whole capital ships line in one coherent scale. Some prequel stuff would also be fine (walkers and CIS ground units from AotC), but sequel trilogy stuff.. no, thanks, I can live without it. Even disney constantly (re)uses things from old movies to leverage their new stuff and keep people interested, so I hope that Bandai will also focus on the missing stuff from old trilogy.

I would wager, given a 1/72 PG Slave 1's size in relation to the Falcon, that it would be roughly half the cost... I'd be ok with that.

Yes sounds good to me !! Slave One also isn't that complex. So surely is doable, especially considering they have done the 1/144 scale for around €40.

I would add the shuttle tydirium to the list! But that is an awesome list my friend

How big (LxBxH) would a Shuttle Tydirium be in 1/72 ? They're pretty big in the scheme of things aren't they ?

...I'll use this occasion to say it again: It's a shame they decided to do the TIE suppository in 1/72 instead of the U-wing in 1/72.
I'd rather they had produced the TIE Reaper instead of the TIE Striker, but it's a transport ship instead of a fighter and it was barely seen so I'm guessing Bandai assumed it wouldn't have the same appeal to fans even though, in my opinion, it's a much better design than that flying suppository.

Totally agree with this. Tie Reaper looks so much better.

It seems that a lot of people are wanting Shuttle Tydirium....
I'm not pooping on the whole idea of a Tydirium, but I'm actually just fine with the MPC kit. Don't bother posting all your side by side photos; I'm not saying it's accurate. I'm not even saying it's accurate "enough for me." Rather, I think it looks really good and if the actual filming model looked like that, I would like it just as much. That's how I think about accuracy. And that's why I really like the MPC Snowspeeder (except for the cockpit apes). I've got several of each of these models. Scale can be a problem, especially for the speeder. I'm not even sure what it is, but I don't think I have anything to go with it. How close is the Tydirium to 72nd? If it's really close, then maybe Bandai should focus efforts on the obvious--a quarter-inch scale Y-wing. (Didn't like the Blue Moon one and had to Re-bay it.)

According to scalemates, the MPC Shuttle is 1/89. Personally I’ve been hoping Bandai release a Tydirium since they got the license so I’ll be delighted when it does come to pass. I do think it’s far more likely to be 1/144 though.

There's a very nice conversion kit on shapeways to replace the Tyderium cockpit (as well as clear engine replacements); the MPC kit is actually a very good replica of the full-size mockup. I'd love a Bandai Tyderium but I'd prefer a TIE Bomber first...

Not sure where you got that info but the Slave 1 is crazy complicated... Sure its smaller - but not by as much as you'd think... and the layers of greeblies are pretty significant... The PE treatment would be pretty massive.

Not that I wouldn't like to see one at half the price but you'd probably looking at one for 2/3 to 3/4 the price... and Fine Molds already did one in that scale that was pretty good... it might've been their best model actually. The Tydirium is interesting... but Revell did a pretty decent job of that one too and was also 1/72 scale (depending on what you believe the official size to be)...

On my short list of I'd buy immediately if they did it - an upscaled Blockade runner, Neb-B (1/1000 seems about right), SD II - Avenger type, SD1 - Devastator type - 1/144 Sand Crawler. there are others that I'd get but that's the top :D

I thought the Revell Tydirium had the exact same shape issues as the MPC in that it was also based on the full size set piece. Also I think it is a little smaller than the MPC. They stuck figures that are close to 1/72 scale in there, but they are way oversized for the cockpit. It's almost like oversized Kenner/Hasbro action figures stuffed into a smaller ship much like the old shuttle toy

The Revell Tydirium is significantly smaller than the MPC kit... Opinions may vary - but I think the cockpit geometry is better on the Revell than the MPC.

As for Scale I think the MPC one is closer to a real 1:72 than the Revell... But Even at that its still a bit too small for 1:72 based on in the movie 4 people comfortable (except Chewie) fit in the cockpit, and the kit cockpit hold ~ 3-4 cramped based on the figures. The Revell to me is more like 1:100ish... just based on the size of the two kits and the figures.

Agree with all these points - the U-Wing in 1:72 would be amazing. I vaguely remember reading that the TIE Striker was much more prominent in an earlier cut of Rogue One, and given the long lead times on producing models, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's responsible for the seeming mis-match in which model was picked for the 1:72 treatment.

A TIE Reaper in 1:72 would be huge - it's actually larger than the Millennium Falcon!

Although it is huge, the Tie Reaper is not larger than the Millennium Falcon. It's nearly as long, but the overall size of the MF is larger. Still, I'd love to see it in 1/72 Scale... It would not have to priced as much, since it is not as intricate as the Falcon.

For reference, the Tie Reaper is listed as 33.9 meters in lenght. I'm not listing the Falcon's lenght, since that is a point of controversy, but let's just agree that it's longer than the Reaper...lol...

Hey just thought I'd re-ignite that old A-Wing scale conversation

Over on Facebook, a good mate of mine, John Simmons is building a Nice-N Studio Scale model of the ship....all parts have been researched & sourced including the WW1 pilot that ILM used.....He does look a bit uncomfortable in the ship
