Bandai release schedule

Do the armor parts fit on top of the undersuit or are they molded on? If they aren't attached, you could probably find some material to put over it to hide the joints.

Thought I saw a while back that Bandai was supposed to release a 1/350 Falcon Empire version? Has this come to fruition? Would be perfect for 1/350 Medical Frigate I'll be starting soon. Thanks

I see that you have a JPG productions 1/350 medical frigate kit, I was lucky to get one as well, looooong wait but well worth it! I have been on mine off and for two months now, I was supposed to do some updates on SD bridge but a few weeks ago living in Canada snow and ice has a way of reminding you how tough she is and slipped and fell on my wrist and - lets say almost broke it but sprained it pretty good .
anyway this kit needs a lot of work to make parts fit right and work seamless (nothing too major like all resin kits), so if you got started or not? or you have any question regarding this let me know? I have sanded, trimmed, added styrene, greebles and cut a few pieces and parts for my accuracy level.
anyway just thought I would share some of my thoughts and building of what I have done so far, would be glad to send pics of what I have done to help anyone interested. I have modified the kit a lot. and you will be asking yourself the same thing. WTF? now, don't get me wrong this kit is insane with detail and many parts (some have been modified from the original molds and casting) but SHE is a BEAUTIFUL kit !!
I too will be getting the new 1/350 empire falcon as well from bandai. I always buy 1/2 dozen for fun and stock! you never know when you need one.
Thanks for reading and I apologize If I have wasted your time.
Aloha and Happy Holiday

Thanks, I'll be definitely taking you up on that offer. Lighting it is making me a little nervous.

If it wasn't for those elbow joints, I would have sworn that was full scale! Awesome work!

Agreed, Looks like a full scale suit of armor!

Thanks all! :) The armour is all separate, but tolerances are tight. I would give a fabric undersuit a go on the 1/6 Stormtrooper, though. The slight disappointment of this one is that the ribbing on the arms is cut off short. At least some or the screen used suits went all the way up the arm.

To light the 1/350 Medical Frigate I bought a string of blue LED lights, all strung on copper wire. It's very strong and thin so you can string it through the entire structure including the metal spine pipe and it gives you a good even distribution of light quite close to the look of the ship in the film. Then I added warm white LEDs for the engines, medical bay window and a few other areas.

Hey jeff, since your here. I have a quick question. how or what did you use to glue/attach the horizontal ship/plane fuselage parts to the vertical plate mount? I have many ideas but any thought would be great, would hate to have them fall off in a later date! I have been doing a lot of mods to this kit so far drilled out a crapload of windows and cleaned them up with mini files. Hell of chore but looks great. and since we last corresponded I mentioned I was going to use a single side mount. done! very sturdy and strong! I ended up buying a longer piece of 1/2 inch pipe and cut what I needed. here is a pic of what I have so far. there have been a few changes since I took these, been on a break since I sprained my wrist, bummer...

thanks.

It was supposed to be soonish. But it wasn’t a true ESB Falcon. It was basically the ANH saucer with the ANH radar dish, TFA docking rings, and TFA undersaucer. (Hence 5 legs but the wrong shape to the undersaucer pits)

So by the looks of it, it's exactly the same as 1/350 TLJ Bandai Falcon just with the round dish? Bandai Hobby Resistance Vehicle Set Star Wars: The Last Jedi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0759D7ZPR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MH.jCbXARYG7T
If that's so, hilarious!

I just used regular cyanoacrylate glue on the fuselages/boat hulls--some were drilled out for the lights and you can probably pin them for added strength but they seem pretty solid--I have a brass tube running up through the whole front support structure. I used epoxy for some of the more crucial joints like the engine block/spine area etc.

thanks again for the info! I kind of had an idea you took that path with the CA glue. I drilled small holes on both top/bottom of most of the fuselage parts close to the end/rear of all them and will insert short brass rod/tubing to keep them straight and from falling off the vertical support along with CA glue.

Out of all the Bandai troopers, the Shoretrooper/Coastal Defender was last on my list, probably because of the joints being so obvious on the trousers. However, having built this, it's probably the most fun I've had building all of them. The Shoretroopers are pretty well weathered in a way that's easy to achieve with some flat black and a toothpick – it's all about weathering the weathering! I added some subtle browns and, as usual, some brushed clear in places to add patina. Probably 5-6 hours of weathering alone! I used a few of the decals but the blue was sprayed. Once I've based them all, I'll do a proper shoot with my troopers.

I'd say there is bound to be an Imperial Shuttle coming at some stage, Bandai have released a version of everything MPC brought out for the OT

I'd love there to be a larger Blockade Runner & Star Destroyer
