Personally I'm hoping for either PT or ST stuff; I'm tired of the OT.
We just got that one stupid gorilla walker kit from the last movie or am I forgetting something...
yep, because bandai likes to cut costs and sequel/stories stuff isn't selling as much as OT/PT stuff, so they're not even trying that much. Piles of unsold rose tico figures are legendaryI forgot about the Boosted X-Wing- still plan on getting one of those.
The TLJ Falcon- isn't that the same kit as before just with the mirrored sidewalls fixed?

I think that also speaks volumes as to how lackluster the designs for the new movies are.
Mouse droid. 1/12 scale, of course.Well, well, well. Here's a big tease:

I hope you're right... although, someone will be...lol
I’ll be really disappointed if it’s not an Episode IV Mobquet speeder. I might be mollified with a Ubrikkian one.
For me they all feel like they're unfinished or only slightly modified variants of the older ships. Which shouldnt be suprising, considering that (AFAIK) most of them are rejected concepts or WIP versions of the vehicles from the old trilogy. I can live with Expanded Universe authors being lazy (billion TIE variants, making empire capital ships bigger and bigger every year, not to mention their unoriginal triangular shape) because for the most part they were bunch of second rate writers, but when disney follows that trend in their flagship movies, somethin is really wrong.I think that also speaks volumes as to how lackluster the designs for the new movies are.
For me PT designs felt just too advanced in comparison to the old stuff, like AT-TE vs AT-AT, or V-wing vs X-wing. Also, they were lacking any sort of continuation, and when they tried to implement it, it felt VERY forced (like suggesting that jedi starfighter from ep. III is TIE precedessor. Or when they didnt show fully armored Y-wing which would made way more sense than ARC).To me, it's more like a damned if they do, damned if they don't when it comes to really pushing the design envelope. Lucas tried to do a lot of different things with the ship design in The Phantom Menace and I remember the response being... not entirely favorable. I mean, the Naboo fighters look cool, but at the time they didn't look particularly like Star Wars designs, and I remember hearing a lot of the same sentiment.
Fans clearly expected stuff that reminded them of the original films.
So most of the ships in Episodes II and III are very reminiscent of original trilogy stuff... and just not memorable.
