Re: Black Widow Bodysuit - Now A Build Thread (Complete - 11.12.12)
Sorry for the delayed response but I didn't see your posts until just now. It seems that the thread that I had based my belt design off of it now gone, but it wasn't really much of a tutorial. Basically at Home Depot, or any other big home and hardware place, you can buy strips of ridged rubber designed to go underneath a door to prevent drafts and bugs from getting in. Some places sell them pre-cut and others you have to have trimmed in store. I bought a pre-cut one for about $3. At home I just applied a couple thin coats of acrylic paint to the rubber (back and front) and let it dry in between. Then I cut it down to the right length for my waist. To secure the buckles on either end I just looped the rubber through the end of a set a parachute buckles and secure it with gorilla glue. It was probably the simplest part of the costume making process. If you can't find the stripping let me know and I can swing by the store by me and get an actual brand name. Hope this helps!
Also, MisterXero - how much would want for the buckle, if it's still available?
