I finished this Beldam's Key from Coraline (2009), 3D printed in resin from a file purchased from Cults3D.



Close scrutiny of the screenshots reveal this key to have two finishes: it's mostly satin or gloss black, but the inner disc is flat. I achieved this by spraying the whole thing in gloss, and then hand painting a flat clearcoat in the disc area. This added some aging effects by itself!

I received this Saint Lapel Pin from The Saint (1997), 3D printed in SILVER! This was my first metal order, and it came from RPF user laellee through his Shapeways store.



The pin comes in two sizes, as its two appearances in the film are of differently-sized props. I opted for the larger version, as the small was just too small. The pin arrived in all-silver, so I touched up the halo with a gold metallic marker.



(This was a holy grail for me, as it's a movie I saw at the theater about 4 times when I was younger. I'm displaying it on a brown suede patch, which looks much like Val Kilmer's coat material in the movie!)

I received this Away Jacket Patch from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982), from a seller on Etsy.



This patch appears to be the right size, and is one of the nicer quality variants available.



(It's so nice that it's probably too nice. But I tend to prefer idealism of accuracy, so it works better for me!)

I received these Rank Pips from Star Trek: The Next Generation (TV), from a seller on Etsy.



(Communicator pin coming later.)
These are nicely all-metal and gold finished, with a pin backing. Accurate for TNG uniforms.



(Yes, I know there is no such rank as three solids and one circle. Congrats, you passed the test!)

This is a REAL earring that can be worn, and is beautifully crafted in silver.

I received this Kryptonite Fragment from Superman Returns (2006), from a seller on Etsy.



This piece is cast resin, and weathered heavily. It's not a perfect match for the movie version of Lex Luthor's Kryptonite "shiv", but close enough for me.



(If not the "shiv", then my piece is simply a fragment from the Kryptonite island, right?)

I added a black acrylic wash into the cracks and crevices to make it pop a little more.

I threw together this Group Photo Stack from Severance (TV). It's four photos printed at the Walmart Photo Center, and grouped a stack of four with a green binder clip.

I was at Disneyland this week, and I picked up this Imperial Rank Badge Kit from Star Wars at Dak-Ondar's.



I can make any Imperial rank badge that is 6x1 or 6x2, so I chose to go with the first and the best: Grand Moff!

Tonight I finished this Old Group Photo + Petey's Map from Severance (TV). The front side is a photo of the previous MDR crew, and the back is the map that Petey was sketching.



Both images were captured directly from the TV show, and then perspective-corrected, cleaned up, patchworked from other screenshots, and finally AI-enlarged. It was printed on "greeting card stock", which is glossy on one side and matte on the other.

I received this Overlook Hotel Key Fob from The Shining (1980), purchased from RPF user Chettus. It's engraved acrylic, fully realized on both sides!



For the key, I found a vintage Taylor 54 KS key on eBay, which looks like a VERY close match to the film version.



For displaying it, I took a piece of wood plank and literally chopped it up with a camping axe! Then I gave it a dark walnut stain and a gloss clear-coat. The doorknob is the closest match I could find: a Kwikset Tylo Entry Door Knob from Amazon. I disassembled it and affixed the keyhole half to the plank with some screws. The Taylor key fits in the Kwikset keyhole nicely.



(Yes, I know Jack chopped up a different door than the one for Room 237, but sometimes folks need an assist for recognizing!)

I updated this Indiana Jones Fedora that I picked up last weekend at Disneyland

It's the cheaper felt fedora with "Indiana Jones" logo pin on the bow side. I removed the pin and took out some of the stitches that held the band to the hat.



(This will tide me over until I get something a bit more authentic!)

I displayed this Indiana Jones Bullwhip that I had received a couple weeks ago, purchased from RPF user Indy Magnoli. It's 8 feet long, made out of cowhide, and one of Magnoli's prototypes.



For display purposes, this serves perfectly!



(This now warrants Indiana Jones getting his own shelf. How lonely it looks; I am now sorely in need of more Indy prop replicas! Good thing I know where to go for them. Time to make some of those awesome paper props!)

There are very few shelf-sized prop replicas for this movie out there.



(I know it's kind of a deep cut, but Close Encounters is my #1 favorite film!)

I received this Power Ring from Green Lantern (2011), from a seller on Etsy. This is officially licensed and brand of Mattel.



The band part is diecast metal, and the green plastic bits have multiple layering to produce a nice effect. There is no light.



(I know, kind of a bad movie, but I still like it, and the ring is a nice companion piece to my comic book version.)

It's non-working, but fully intact for my display of Matrix items!
