Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

No, I like the full site better.

I recognize the pic, from SofaKing's full size Falcon build thread.

I checked several different threads, that photo is in all of your posts.

Started playing yesterday and even after only a few hours of gameplay, it's easily my favorite AC game out of them all. Not only that, but it's hands down the best pirate game I've ever played. Forever and ever Sid Meyer's 'Pirates!" held that title, but ACIV has given me everything I found myself wishing Pirates! had as a kid.

I've collected everything now and I'm just waiting on social stuff to appear to get the last few achievements, going back to get 100% sync in all the missions while I wait. I honestly haven't liked a game this much in years, maybe ever. And on top of that, it gave me a costume that I'm really excited to make. I liked the AC1 and 2 costumes a lot, but Altair's was a little lacking in interesting details, and Ezio's would cost a fortune to do right. This one is perfect, and will be a blast to put together.

OK, so because the Ubisoft forums are incredibly unhelpful and the Ubisoft customer support site is down, I'll ask this here in hopes that anybody can help. I've gotten 100% sync and all achievements EXCEPT the social treasures and convoys. I played through most of the game without an internet connection because I had an issue with Xbox live, but I resolved that and in a day or two I had found all three whales, one convoy, and one chest. Then they all stopped. I've also never been able to see my friends' ships in the fleet missions. I have Xbox live silver and I'm logged into Uplay at all times, anybody know what gives?

I can't find any white whales OR social chests. I've found plenty if Royal Convoys.

Do you have to have plenty of friends playing the game to be able to get these things? I've got 95% completion, and can't believe I haven't found these yet.

Mike

It's apparently a fairly common glitch, but their support site is kind of awful. I guess a lot of people had social stuff working for about the first day they connected, and then it completely disconnected. I can't even do fleet missions with my friends, it's basically like I'm not connected to Uplay, except that I am.

I agree. Not only that, but the high res photos of Kenway's costume are AMAZING and SO detailed. Personally, I would prefer Ezio's Revelations costume... but as you said... it would cost a mint to produce correctly.

I have gotten 2 white whales, but for the life of me, I can't seem to get the third.

Finally finished the game. Again, this is a GREAT addition to the series and at least begins to cover the horrendous misstep that was AC3. However, AC4 ended on a kind of bland and boring note. There really wasn't much of a wrap up or any real meaning added. I was a little disappointed at that, but otherwise, a great, great game!

Yea, the ending snuck up on me and left me wanting more.

I started Freedom Cry last night and it's pretty fun so far.

It's a bit different in a number of ways. Happy to say I don't think it suffers from the change of characters. It takes place after the game ends, I had originally thought it was during the year Edward was in prison.

Also, it's pretty glitchy. While raiding a plantation, something went wrong and after a brief lack of certain sound effects, Adewale's voice actor's generic moving around sounds were replaced with a little girl's voice. It was actually pretty funny. Also a couple times I've gone to travel speed in the ship and the guy up in the crow's nest flies off the ship.

I haven't started Freedom Cry yet, but I am looking forward to it. I really liked Adewale's character in the game and I'm looking forward to more content from him.

Agreed. Ancillary characters can be so throw-away. It was nice to see them flesh him out enough that you care enough about him to want to see him in his own adventure. I would also LOVE to play Captain Thatch.

I didn't care for the handling of Blackbeard's ship, so an entire DLC sailing around as him would be less than ideal for me. I would appreciate the 6+ guns, though.

I loved this game. I was very upset with AC3. I used to consider AC1 to be the worst of the series untill I saw 3. However They redeemed themselves with 4. While I did find the "real world" story to be flat and makes very little to no sense. When I get my PS4 in Jan I plan on re buying it and playing from scratch. I really liked this game. My favorite portion is the Sea adventures. Also complete the navel missions to unlock the golden guns they make the game much easier. Personally I think it is the best game in the series (but it still could have been longer story wise)

I'm a little over half way through Freedom Cry now, and it's starting to turn into AC3. You can't run around in the main city at all without guards freaking out. One of the missions I played for about an hour and a half and getting 100% sync was just plain impossible. One of the parameters was to not kill anyone, but they counted knocking someone out as killing them and the mission requires that you knock one guy out.
