Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I really wonder how this will work out. I like the idea of a pirate setting for the new ancestor.
But who will be the new protagonist whom's memories will be relived? Because Desmond Miles died at the end of AC III. Which I think is the biggest anticlimax in the Assassin's Creed series.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Loved Tenchu for the ps1. The game was great for the 1st -3, after that they got a little silly and not very good nor seem to try to update it. havent played the tenchu Z due to having a broken failbox ( xbox). Wish that they would make a new version with a better system n AI. I even still have my Tenchu statues on the shelf in the man cave. Cool figures if you never seen them.

Bad guy or flash back pirate they could use is Capt. Kidd. I might be wrong but wasnt he a major British navy commandor that chnaged sides. You could go with the pirate that ran around the Diry south / New orleans area that was so big he controled 50 ships. HE had a french name. sorry can't look these guy up at the moment to check my facts. please feel free to fix my mistakes or add to it

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Since the release of the trailer I've put an honest effort into AC3, eventually figured out you have to hold down the counter button, and can choose to whether disarm, throw, or kill the opponent. Again, not as good the original, imo, just had to press the button once and the opponent was dead.

Still not a fan of the new Assassin, though I am enjoying the historical characters, like Washington and Revere.

On the edge of my seat though for AC 4. Freaken Pirates man, freaken Pirates.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I played the first AC and really liked it but havent played one since. I saw the naval battles in AC III which is why I may pull the trigger and purchase. Now seeing a pirate AC, man I'm pumped!

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I'm amazed the have this thing ready to go so soon after AC3, they must have been making them at the same time practically.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Yeah they are likely rolling 2 teams. Each team works on a game and they just leap frog as they go. Square soft did that back in the day with the final fantasy games.

Ah back when Square put out good stuff. lol. Problem with doing it that way is your other projects start to suffer or don't get the press they need.

As previously stated, it's par for the course:

AC - 2007
AC2 - 2009
ACB - 2010
ACR - 2011
AC3 - 2012

Read an interview where the AC4 teams talks about seeing the naval battles the AC3 team was working on and said "hey, let's make a whole game out of that" basically. So yes, multiple teams.

Yarp..take what the other team did well and try to fix their mistakes.

Square soft main team was a beast of greatness. That team pushed out 7 & 10, while the 2nd team pushed out 8 & 9. I miss great FF games these days. The last one on the ps2 was pimp tho.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

i love the AC games :d

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

October 31st release here. Nice looking statue with the collectors edition also.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Man, I just don't know if I have the time to actually finish all these AC games. I had to push to get through Revelations before AC3 came out, and I still haven't finished that one (not even sure how far I am, I don't think I'm even halfway yet).

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I'd love to see a futuristic version of AC with gadgets and such, maybe make it cyberpunk? They need to do something to revitalize it.

The basic schtick to the series is stabbing people in a historical setting. The stabbing's been diminishing with each game, so I'm not sure what's left where the historical trappings are removed.

Just finished AC:R today, be starting III soon. Wasn't feeling Ezio's story as much in Revelations, felt weird not taking years to avenge a dead relative or three.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

The CGI movie they made the shows his final adventure was actually really good and it was a nice way to see Enzio go. There's actually a short live action one that they made as a promo for the first enzio game that was pretty neat too. In another 2 years they'll reboot the series somehow. I think this game is just to tide everyone over until the new systems hit and that game "The Watchdogs" (i think that's the name) hits. I been getting the AC3 dlc but forget about them. the new one just hit so i'l lget it soon.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Lineage was awesome, I still need to watch Embers.

It'll never happen now, but I'd like to see more stuff with Altaïr. One game plus the Inception stuff from AC:R wasn't enough for me.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

You know, now that I have actually played up to number 3 (starting it this weekend), I'm a tad torn on another one. Maybe 3 will leave me wanting, but I do really like how Ezio has evolved over the last 3 games.

Also kinda glad it will still be on 360 as I won't be getting a next gen console for awhile.
