Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Yeah, saw the trailer last night... Still not getting the cash cow. I loved the AC series, but AC III ruined the fun.

@Dadpool:

No one is saying that AC wasn't a good set of games, but some of us are saying that AC III felt like a let down to the whole series... You get what I am saying, right? Oh, wait... You must be thinking I am on drugs, or something...

Differing opinion/= Being high...

Just saying.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Looks good so far. The setting looks fine, and if you can actually dive then that's really cool. Can't wait to see some gameplay.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I'll hold off actual judgement until the game comes out (or some gameplay). I still think it's a bit soon for another one but hey what do I know I'm on drugs apparently :behave.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I'm patiently waiting for the eventual modern-era AC game where it's wholly in Desmond's world. They can really take it back to its roots with sprawling metropolis landscapes, and then integrate moving landscapes with cars and big buses and whatnot. The only problem would be how to integrate conveniently-located hay bails into the post-2000 urban environment, because - as well all know - that's a fundamental cornerstone of all AC games.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

haystacks were effective in the last one?? They never really seem to do much other than a place to swan dive into. Most times you ran away n hide in one they knew you were in a second. Get booted out of the stack cause hawk eye saw you 2 blocks away with the sun in his eyes. Most times is looked like a benny hill moment. you run and get chased by like 20 guys. All you need was a chick in the group.

i like the idea of modem area one tho. maybe they can use dumpsters or old mattress left in the alley by hobo's

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

lmao..You got a multi pass.

I could have seen them go to Japan also. Can do one at the turn of the ports being forced open by perry. Tangle with some Ninja clans and Shoguns.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Stalingrad or Leningrad during WW2 with forays into Berlin... :love

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I'd like one set during the cold war since so much spying was going on and i hate to say it but for once can we be the bad guys?

They've released one a year since 2007, sounds like it's right on schedule given previous releases.

As long as they don't get to a point in history where the firearms are repeating I think it'll be okay. I don't want to have to run away from guards with automatic weapons :) I wouldn't mind some Victorian London. Or going way back in time, maybe follow one of the Assassins from the ACII tombs.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I was actually kind of hoped the "Watch Dogs" game they showed off was the next step in the series.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

I say go to Japan next still. You have way more cool stuff there and sky high buildings to run around. not just 2 story houses or a church. Plus the fact that at the end of the 1st AC, they showed him looking at the wall that was in his room. The wall showed a ton of japanese / chinese symbols with drawings. I would have to think they would have kinda gone there by now. what would be cool is that you might not even be the best figher / blade / sneaky master around. So have fun trying to best the Samurai n ninja's. can be a great cat n mouse on buildings.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

The haystacks were there from the first one, seems like almost an iconic part of the game as much as his hidden blade. I suppose they'll just keep progressing through history with future games.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

The Samurai Era in Japan would be amazing, I might actually buy that. I thought the last one wasn't that great, 2 was the only one I actually really liked and got heavily into. Being a pirate is cool though.

There's a game called Tenchu you might like. :thumbsup

Played it a lot back in the PS1 days. You're a ninja assassin.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

Ninja > Pirate. Though I mean you are an assassin so kind of like a ninja so you'd be a ninja pirate.

Re: Assassin's Creed 4 yet another one

This looks promising.

At least this new Assassin wasn't born in an isolated culture, and taught by a cripple.

(I know that sounds bad... but... I really don't like the latest Assassin)

Also, we got PIRATES!!!!111!!!!1 ARRRGGGG!!!!111!1!!!!11!!1

Plz Ubisoft gods give us back the original counter move, it was practically the only thing I used. Now I can't even fight one guy without getting my bum kicked.
