Anyone know anything about the John Wick Gold Coins?

Cheers shall have a go at editing it tomorrow. From what I can gather its a mash up of various things so that would not surprise me. When and if i ever get around to finishing it I'm going to cast them in brass then flash gold plate them to make them look the part.

You did contribute....but you also hijacked us to promote your own product. :eek

It's not like this is your personal Junkyard thread. Personally i'm interested in seeing all available options and he's off to a great start.

I loved the film and by trade I'm a Silversmith, Goldsmith and Jewllery designer maker and though I would have a crack, found this post and have been checking out all your resources you guys have discovered, which led me to start 3D modelling my own.

I'm curious to hear your opinions about the dimensions of the coin.

Hijacking is not against the rules. If he's a jewelry expert, he might put out a better coin. Who knows, maybe I'll buy one ! :D

There was no "Hijacking", the opening post asks for contribution. You're free to make your own thread if you don't want to continue posting in this one. "Just watched this the other night and was wondering if any of the coin makers on here plan on doing the Gold coins they used throughout the movie. "

in jintosh's defense...it is pretty bad form to show up to a thread 1 month into work and say "hay guys thanks for all the picture references and doing all the work YOINK!! i'll be casting the coins now!"

instead of:
"hay guys i know how to cast metal how can i help to make this thing happen"

Sorry I didn't realise I was Hijacking this post thought I was contributing with my further research based on the stuff you guys had already done, I wasn't intending to sell anything either, but I would of been happy to give away the .stl file when I was done.

Also if anyone is interested the size of the coin is i reckon what Jintosh guessed. 38mm round i measured my hand and scaled the image you guys got of wick holding the coin, im guessing his hand was bigger than mine though.

So I rounded it up.

I think your coin looks great so far, you identified the original sources for the lion and lady freedom which I don't think had been posted before and your model looks great. Very clean work. I'll put the size issue to rest.

He's making his own model from scratch, I don't know what you're on about. I get that you're being protective because you have a plan to make these with Jintosh, but personally I would like to get the best replica possible and having another talented artist working on his interpretation of the coin can only be beneficial. This forum is about the free exchange of information, and Lukey has no less right to the information that's been freely posted in this thread (by several of us) than Jintosh does. Don't ruin it for the rest of us by running him off.

Then it is my turn to apologize. It wasn't even my thread, so I have no right to accuse you of hijacking.

When you get to the 3D modeling part, I hope you accept input from the group. This is a group project after all.

NO.... I'M TAKING MY BALL AND GOING HOME!! WAAAAAAAAAAA:cry

this is a joke people lol

can we please get back to the coin now?

No worries guys, I just like making and designing things. The hardest part now is the woman and the lion but my file didn't sync from my work PC so not going to be able to do it tonight.

Man, you are a great guy. I think I just totally misread your post and your intentions. I'm sorry.
