Anyone know anything about the John Wick Gold Coins?

:eek Wow....just wow!!

That is awesome work - I am deeply humbled by this. I mean, I just a new dude on the block asking questions - and THIS is the welcome!! No words can describe how cool you are - Thanks!!
I'll order a set right away and post some pictures when I get them.

Again - Thanks!!

:) I would customize most of my items that I have on Shapeways, but especially this item. This was a group effort, and I hope Ultraman will eventually come up with some gold plated coins to reward everyone's patience.

i just started toying around with this again tonight.
after coming back to it i noticed that the texture from the printing process may be the issue with the luster not coming out the way i was hoping it to.
tomorrow (sunday the 20th) i'm going to mess around with a few ideas to see if i can smooth out the surface of the coin with various dremel heads prior to the nickel plating. if it works we'll have the luster we're looking for.
the key is to get the nickel as shiny as possible because this has a major effect on what the gold looks like in the end.

after studying many sites on the subject of plating pewter, they say it's dang near impossible without professional equipment.
seeing as i'm doing this out of my kitchen with homemade plating solutions... all we can do is cross our fingers and pray everything works out in the end
lol.
:cool

i'm currently looking into professional plating solutions.....but those sucker aint' cheap!
if the pro nickel comes out better then my home brew then it might be dead on.
guess the only thing i can do is start an INT thread and see how many i need to make.
