Anovos Star Trek:TOS Tunics and Dresses

I'm not sure what size to get... my size doesn't eactly fit any of those cookie cutter sizes they have.

Where the heck are the bloody pants?! I can't wear a 100% screen accurate top with the bottoms I currently have!

Looks like they want us to go like Kirk went at night with no pants on! :p

Hmmmm...

:confused

Anyone know if the 09 tunics are limited runs? I see the ordering window is closed for the science tunic - will it open again?

The '09 sciences and engineering stunts are closed but the longsleeved black undershirt is next, then the command stunt, followed by the heros. By the way, I'm on my phone so I'll have to post a link later but if you go to ANOVOS' website...the are auctioning the Kirk tunic from Big Bang Theory for Red Cross Japanese Earthquake & Tsunami Relief. Please check it out folks!

John

The prices are on the website, but...

TOS COMMAND TUNIC: $279.95

TOS SCIENCES DRESS: $325.95

'09 TUNICS: $290.00

'09 DRESSES: $340.00

Oh...I didnt see any prices for the 09 items which is what I am interested in. Do you think we can expect those prices for the hero tunics and the undershirt?

I've no idea what the prices are going to be for the hero or undershirt.
Beleave it or not the price for the hero over tunic might just be less than the stunt.

Let me explain, the "hero" and "stunt" over tunic is IDENTICAL. In fact I hate the terms "hero" and "Stunt" as most of the time the lead actors wore the "stunts" as they were cooler to wear on set than the "hero" tunics. There is absolutly NO difference between the two in terms of material or construction except that the "stunt" has a sewn-in collar, and the "hero" requires the full long sleeved undershirt. And that'll be the diffrence in price. Hero will require you to purchase the undershirt. Now say you buy an undershirt when that come out, now all you have to buy is a "hero" tunic to go over it. Now say you want to buy other '09 tunics...you already own the undershirt thus, the tunic will be less expensive. See what I mean?

John

p.s. Ok everybody check out the auction below, it's for a fantastic cause.-J

Alright, despite preferring velour, I've ordered this one. Who knows whether or not I'd ever get the opportunity for a screen accurate TOS uniform again... and who knows whether or not I'll ever get the opportunity for velour. I just hope the size I ordered is going to work.

Well good luck! I hope they come through and stick around as I would eventually like to pick up a completely 100% accurate outfit when I have some money to burn...

Still kind of wondering where this project is at. The original estimate was 8 to 10 weeks before completion. It's been 16 for the command tunic and there's no word yet... not even the slightest idea how close they are.

Has anyone ever received any costume they've ordered from them? A web search yields nothing. All I see are glowing remarks from people that don't actually own anything from them, that seem ready to follow them to Hell and back.

Anyone have any info? I don't have a facebook... so maybe there's more info there.

I have a set of the ANOVOS BSG Junior Officer Duty Blues, some of the double tanks, and a complete set of insignia pins.

All are top quality in terms of materials and workmanship.

I do have an issue -- the size of the Duty Blue pants they shipped is different than the size I ordered -- and am currently standing by for this to be resolved. (There has been a little delay because of SDCC.)

But in terms of quality: no complaints whatsoever. The stuff is remarkable. :eek

Hi DarthGordon- the Tunics got held up for, of all things, the accuracy of the braid. We had some issues with a vendor who just couldn't get it right and have since switched. This vendor was a "god send" to us and we are now back on track for completion. We are diligent with putting up updates to the FB page and the newsletter a less frequently. If you can sign up for any of those, we do a minute by minute.

Temponaut - I know exactly your problem and no worries, we are sending out your pant directly to you. As you guessed, SDCC distracted us but now we're full steam ahead again. Sorry about that mixup, that's a mistake we rarely if ever make.

Thanks for the update on the Command Tunic . (y)thumbsup

Is the Red Tunic going to be coming out around the same time as the command ?

I have both ordered .

Thanks

Thanks, Got Maul.

I have no doubt that Pants Affair will be speedily resolved. I have been very impressed by the responsiveness of the ANOVOS team, which has already taken steps like adding a wider range of international shipping options at the request of its clients, and negotiating for a license to ship ST:TOS costumes internationally.

Again, the quality of the BSG product is remarkable. I think that ANOVOS has set a new standard in costume reproductions. If the ST:TOS pieces are in the same league, then these are the Trek costume reproductions I've been dreaming of for 40 years.

I don't know any of the ANOVOS team personally. I'm not shilling for friends. I'm just a collector with high standards, and ANOVOS has made a fan out of me. :thumbsup
