ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion - Three ANH Greeblies Found

Not being in the EU and limiting myself to one big purchase a year eliminates me from the running :(

I bought a grenade this year at a high price, well worth it though :)

Anybody else out there with a cheap C96 watergun conversion? I got this on eBay from Japan. I did a Blade Runner PKD replica before from a watergun and I'm planning on making a super light weight DL-44 conversion with this toy gun. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of 3D printing the scope, mount and nozzle and do a faux metal paint job. It'll be fun!

I just got one of these in the mail myself. It’s pretty much a direct copy of an MGC from the looks of it..

Here is one of those plastic water guns you can find on eBay that I quickly converted into a Bespin blaster. It’s pretty much a 1:1 copy of an MGC from the looks of it and it shoots laser water bolts!! Fun stuff...

Here is a link to a video and some more pictures (including compared to an MGC) I posed on Instagram as well..

So if I’m reading what your saying right you can’t blue a silver/ gold plated MGC one very easy and a black one is easier to strip off the paint and blue. So building a New Hope Han Solo blaster accurately is going easier getting a black MGC verses a silver plated one correct.

If you're lucky enough to nab an MGC I suggest making the best of what you have! Paint the gold ones, Grill paint rubbed with a paper towel once cured looks very awesome and believable.

Ha! Fun thing I just discovered... The Han ANH hero is used by an imperial officer. It has the scope mount upright and scope removed. You heard it here first... ^_^

Nice grab scott. To bad he’s a little slow on the draw or we might have gotten a better look at it. Great find though..

Whoa, VERY cool. good coloring on the grips too, i'd paid most attention to the B&W photos during research

So I had a chance to walk around the local flea market while working today. And without trying too hard I came across two possible SW props.

I know some folks have mentioned the aluminum cast Mauser replicas before, so here’s one out in the wild. Paint is chipped of course, but it’s in pretty good shape. No, I didn’t adopt it today, I have no money. Yes, that’s an aluminum Luger next to it.
(I also looked for flashes, but only found a Graflite WITH camera.)
With better searching, you could probably come up with half a dozen prop found parts at this place.
Enjoy!

Holy cow. I picked up a couple aluminum cast guns a few years back at a gun show for $10 a pop. Broomhandle included. That price seems awefully steep. You can get a metal airsoft version for that.
