I think it might be.Is that a chassis rail?
Thanks Stu. That is a major camera angle trick. Thought it was solid all the way to the sidewall.I have it down as either M23 or Tyrrell.
Nope...more kit parts lurking in the shadows I'm afraid lolThanks Stu. That is a major camera angle trick. Thought it was solid all the way to the sidewall.
Yes, it's a Plastruct stuff...Think this is the added Empire piece?

I wonder why they put something there after ANH at all. Maybe needed to cover a hole?Yes, it's a Plastruct stuff...
Me too! I don't know why they put it there...I wonder why they put something there after ANH at all. Maybe needed to cover a hole?
My thoughts on this are simply that the FalGal plate you make is either going to be a "fixed" height or else a "custom" height because no two Falcons are the same sidewall height. So I made mine "fat" with the hopes of squeezing everything into the sidewall without having to "trim" it like the ILM guys did, which to my aesthetic preference looks awful, but in all likelihood I'll just end up with whatever my sidewall height actually comes to, and then simply lay in my elements not in "plate" form but in originals like on the mandible sidewalls, so it looks inherently designed/built intentionally that way, rather than sloppy and rushed like a movie prop. But if you want exact replica accuracy, warts and all, then 2-5/8ths sounds like a good starting point from which to start cutting down.So I did a parts layout to try and find the waistband height. Based on this section I got 2 5/8ths. Thoughts?

Yep. I’ll work on that today.G'day John, is there any chance of adding dates/version numbers to your images at all? It would allow everyone to identify the latest image, especially if the image has been updated to correct an error. Just a thought. Cheers
Haha, that’s why I started to have the date of the maps in the spreadsheet as well (not finished with that….)G'day John, is there any chance of adding dates/version numbers to your images at all?
