Galactica Shuttle Parts Maps

Found these maps that we made years ago. They're over at SSM but a few people said they aren't able to get in. Thought I'd put them here. I made the maps, but many folks have supplied the ID's. Sean C being the main one, and Phil C ( the Wombat ). Sorry if I don't remember everyone. We had a few ID's and he came in and finished several maps. A few have gaps so if anyone wants to finish them off, I will be a happy camper.

There's a part behind # 2 on the map that I forgot to number. I didn't want to redo the whole map. If anybody knows the ID on that one I'll just put it in the map.

I didn't number the Antenna assembly as it is multiple parts. I see a Morser Karl # F 26 (cut) I believe and a # F 28 as its base. There is the dish which I don't know and a part behind it. Sorry, not a lot of help I know, ; )

# 44 and 62 are the Otaki Marder body cut in half, The front section has been flipped around, and butts against the rear section.

I haven't got the size of the Plastruct domes yet, I was just going to use some parts in that area to get that measurement.

Part # 57 is another part that has multiple pieces I believe. I don't have any ID's on that one yet.

Thanks to Jon Billings for the picture, I found it on the RI a while back, so Thank You, ; )

The part I numbered 57 is multiple parts, the front two parts are from the Morser Karl # D 9. On the back is the Morser Karl # F 12. Center Section is from Bandai 1/24 Panther # F 14, courtesy of Phil C, ; )

I have to give a hearty thanks to Sean C at the RI for almost finishing the maps for us. Thanks to Phil for letting him know about it. Thanks to all here that have helped, you know who you are,
; ) You all rock hard, Thank You !!!

Part # 57 Breakdown.

Part in the red square above, is from the Bandai 1/24 Panther G, # F 14.

Don't who drew this, I found it many Yahrens ago on the interwebs. Don't know how accurate the dimensions are. That would be above my pay grade. Thanks to whoever drew it. Been meaning to redraw it at higher resolution. But it is what it is.

Again thanks to everyone who contributed to these maps. You know who you are. If anyone sees anything obviously wrong or missing, feel free to let us know. Enjoy !

The Top, Side and Front maps are the original model.

bwayne64,
Really nice of you to provide this model map. This kit part art form is an incredibly unique & clever to provide details to a scratch built model. So applicable to creative space craft design. Somewhat a dying skill with the evolution of today’s technology.

Thanks to you and many others that offer your very time consuming research. Great help whenever a model enthusiast gets “bitten” by a particular subject.

Thanks man. Don't know if I'll ever get around to.building this one. Too many projects. Maybe it will help those who are building it, or those people who are curious about which kit parts were used. To be honest, I've already been searching Evilbay for old kits. Uh oh ! LOL.

I think # 7 on the Side map is wrong. It shows the Fat Boy bomb halves, from the B29. I think the part should be from the Saturn V. Part # 21 I believe. These domed parts have the flange and the raised weld lines you see in some Shuttle pics. You still have to cut the hole for the gear. Confirmation will be appreciated, ; )

As I recall the Fat Boy is the correct ID. It is not very intuitive. I did mock one up at one time for my build a million years ago. It's a tricky angle cut on the back side.

Darn, I thought I actually found an ID. It has the flange already built in. Oh well, I tried, ; )
