Ummmm.... Question. I thought Greg Jein owned the Epsilon and Zeta communicators. The one shown above doesn't really match either, it's closer to the Theta phaser, with the red jewel in the leftmost position.

Is there an 11th phaser?

Woah…if the Jein estate is selling these pieces, this is huge.

- The Tricorder is the only—known—Wah Chang Hero Tricorder (the blue watch crowns version) to still be in existence.

- The Phaser II appears to be the famous Greg Jein Hero.

- The communicator I have never see before. If that is a screen-used comm, it could be a previously undocumented one.

It was only a matter of time before Gregs collection went up for sale.

All of us owe him a HUGE debt which can never be repaid to him

No kidding.

I'd like to reiterate that Mr. Jein's "authentication" of the PiH "hero phaser" was a lot less ironclad than it was made out to be. He was quoted as saying, "If it's a fake, then it's the best I've ever seen".

And also that I never heard a single negative comment about him from insiders during that fiasco.

I think you might be right, the solder joints on the grill edge match

I was excited, for a minute, that a previously undocumented screen-used comm had been discovered. Darn.

Yeah, the more I stare at the details, the more it seems to match Zeta.

I’m just not sure what they did with these indicator hubs. They clearly aren’t the same hubs.

Zeta hubs (maybe these were placeholder hubs for the photos—the comm was still in its dissembled state when the photos were taken):

These two auction comm hubs are completely different, though clearly vintage (maybe these were the actual original indicator hubs that were stored with the radio grille and Velcro? I recall that Herocomm said that these items were stored elsewhere when they snapped photos of the communicator)

I'm gobsmacked. The billionaires are going to swarm all over this.

Yeah, the TMP Enterprise miniature, currently displayed at Blue Origin, may end up with some company displayed next to it…

Hopefully, with some glass around these items, though…. :(

Otherwise, these items are likely to disappear from public view, which is sad.

As I speculated (in post 1774), it sounds exactly like Jon Paul. He sells a bunch of stuff on eBay and has burned many bridges. I would never do business with him nor pay any attention to his assertations. I suspected he was involved in the fraud phaser when it first appeared as it looked to have his nozzle and other parts on it.

No, thats not Jon Paul as he has no interest in anything other than TOS props.

I have done business with him for parts as they are quite nice.

The phaser does have one of his early adjustable barrels...

I can state for certain he doesn't have the skill to do the type of aging involved on the fraud phaser. I know several people who own some of his "museum quality replicas" and let's just say R. Shanko does much better work...

With RJS & JPL both producing such convincing replicas it sure murkies the waters.
RJS does far better mids than JPL's which tend to be a lighter grey on the P2 as he tends to prefer the mid's that were painted like the crap's early on in season 2

Are there any parts on this one that identify themselves as replica? Is there anything that connects this phaser to the Heritage one originally discussed in this thread?

The ten turn is a JPL as is the "crispy" and the acrylic emitter....

That's a good question. I'm not intimately versed with Shanko or the history of his kits.
In some of my conversations with Ron on FB he stated he got to examine and take detailed measurements and notes on the West Coast Collectors.

Here is a picture of one I own that was made by him:
