Did Steve N pay upfront? Does Wasili have people's deposits for these? If so, the dynamic is different... Wasili had my deposit money for YEARS on a previous project that never materialized. He eventually DID repay me, but the experience was not positive. So if it were me in Steve N's shoes, until Wasili has at least ONE good instance of running a project, I say it's fair to ask for a heads up more often than not. I'd love an APC - but I swore Wasili wasn't gonna get a free loan out of me again. I hope he proves me wrong, of course :)

And if no money has exchanged hands, even better - this whole post is moot.

The kit looks awesome, so far! Hope it is a winner for everyone!

I should step in and say that in Wasili's defence I'm partly responsible for the delays here.

When I heard about the project it was well under way, but I struck up a conversation with Wasili and offered to share some hi-res APC photos and blueprints that I have in my archive in the hope that it would help him with the kit. Of course it did but in the process Wasili re-made a lot of the parts so that they'd be much more accurate.

So...er, sorry - but it'll definitely be worth the wait!

Folks,

I understand the sentiments in the posts from earlier today, but i can assure you guys that i'm doing my best to get these out the door. And i'm not quitting until it's done.

Yes, i know i'm slow, and ******, time is flying like hell. And to be honest, at the moment i'm a bit reluctant to give out delivery dates until it's all in the can. The past few weeks were very frustrating, what with the tropical temps and unexceptably low quality castings as a result of that.

This friday i can bring my molds to the factory i mentioned before to discuss my time-needs, and from monday onwards i can use their vacuumcasting machine on a limited schedule. The nice thing is that the operator/caster is going on holiday soon, and then i can use the machine as much as i want.

Here's two quick shots of the tirepattern, to give an idea of the size of this sucker. I'll post some pics of the body tomorrow.

Thats all I wanna see... regular updates and progress pictures. I have no beef with Wasili, i think he's doing a great job. I cant help i want it yesterday. Keep showing progress ima happy camper.

As it was March that i paid in full for the model, I would feel better at this stage if we had more updates and more progress pictures.

Thanx for the kind words guys. I've been working on a rushjob in the past few days for the daytime job, which has to be done on thursday. It has kept me a little bit out of the loop here. As the misses is of to work in Thailand for a few weeks, i have the kids to take care of at the same time, which does have it's moments :wacko

I'll be off to use the vac machine on thursday, simply couldn't do it yesterday.

Yesterday i did receive the last etchings by TNT, only to find the whole shipment damaged, not one fret survived. I am always excited to see etchings, but this was quite a dissappointment. They are redone, but still. Couriers suck at times.

And Keith, the body is done. I'll make it up to you guys and post more, but right now i have my moments were i want to either kick a few boxes or scream in an empty space.

Kick some boxes and get it out of your system mate. The APC customers will doubtless be ecstatic when they get their kits, that thing is looking INCREDIBLE. In the meantime most will be happy with progress shots.

Um, also Tintin rocket customers, hopefully? :)
