I love this thread, since this is one of my all-time favourite Movie Spacesuits and this is a really great build.

One minor point on the lamp, in the front view (and it's maybe just the slight angle the shots at) it sort of looks to me like one side of the front aperture is slightly higher than the other? :confused

I noticed the lamp front was off about .100" after I shot the pictures. I have corrected that. :thumbsup The lamp will be molded in three parts. The back will be removable to service the light if needed.
it wil be installed with all thread coming up out of the helmet. There will be two acorn nuts holding it in place. As was done done on the originals.

No Problem :thumbsup. It was just enough to make the lamp look slightly lopsided, I'm sure it's perfect now.

The Hawk kit is here and thanks Fred in (France) for getting me the man covers. Still pending the car. I have to wait to install some of the bits until I get the rest so I can make sure the spacing is all correct.

I assembled the first set of chest armor. have a look.

Okay. added some of the Hawk kit parts and made the first pulls from the lamp molds. These are fiberglass inforced resin.
I am still working on getting the car kit.
