Yes, forgot to mention that but the sound of your own breathing and voice when you wear it is great, reminds a lot of the sound effects in the film !!! That was a very nice surprise the first time I put it on my head !

I am so excited about getting mine, My wife is going to freakin kill me, but I dont care...I am going to try to find a cool display case and maybe illuminate the case with some kind of blue light...but I wont be going into any derelict ships in it thats for sure, I watched some sci-fi movies in my time...

Actually this piece is hard to photograph. The bronze probably looks too light in those last two, but I wanted to make the interior visible.

Direct flash light makes the patina look a little too prominent. Actually in person it looks just right.

You know in retrospect, it's kind of unusual to see that the rainbow NOSTROMO patch, is nowhere on the space suits!

On the one hand, I like that. Use of the ship patch is very restrained throughout the film. Those Weylan-Yutani Company wings are on everything, but that logo is understated and you hardly notice them.

Heavyhanded overuse of logos is a common theme all too often... think of the CON-AM 27 patch in OUTLAND, or the delta shield in latter day Star Treks.

So the space suits have only the various country patches on them, the triangular "tricentennials"... Cobb of course had designed logos for the crew's previous employers, "RED STAR" and so on, but I don't think they got used. The idea was that the suits were personal items, and each crewman would decorate his as he saw fit... but in the final film all the suits are weathered the same, and they only have the triangular patches which come off looking like corporate sponsorship of some kind.

Richie Just dropped of the white pack for my wife and will be posting some pictures of the white suit with the helmet, armor and pack all attached. Looks very cool.

Stephen, Maybe I missed something here, But is the backpack for the helmet eventually going to available as well? And to really make things complicated for your lives, what about the entire suit as well? :confused :confused :confused

OMG!!!! I cannot wait to get my helmet, and now to have a chance to own the whole suit ...gee wiz, This will be the coolest thing I have ever owned!
I am so glad to be an adult now, to have incredible toys I could only dream of as a kid!!!!!!!!!!

Well. This will give you a pretty good idea what the Ripley will look like when completed. Altho the final jumpsuit is one peice the top is prototype Kane etc. We have boots and are only lacking gloves for Danitas Ripley. This will be on display hopefully with a complete Kane at Wonderfest in May.

Inner helmets:
Inner white helmet WW2 USN white deck helmet with the eyelet strap removed.

Will your wife who is sewing the suits be able to make some white inner caps?

I can understand the technical challenges of the outer RAF cap, but maybe we can convince all-ya'all to do the inner white? :angel
