Kane's underwear has a black tag on the front... I wonder if that's another numeric tag like the one on Ripley's space suit...

Those are cool. Never seen those before.

The screen used lamps look to be early halogen bulbs. VERY HOT!! You can see the heat (i.e. smoke!)off of the lamps in the film.

I would love to find one of the bulbs to cast so we could make clear resin copies of it to place in front of the LEDs but I havent located one.

My one disappointment, and I hesitate to call it that, is that the head lamp is not very bright. It lights up in what is visibly a row of LEDs, but it is not bright enough to function as a flashlight or lamp as the props in the film do.

Mine isn't as bright as the ones in the film (as Richie points out, heat buildup was a consideration), but I must say it IS bright enough to function as a flashlight or lamp. My display room is in the basement, which means when the lights are turned off there is no brightness from any windows. I was delighted to find that, in the dark environment of my basement, the head lamp on the helmet provides good illumination of whatever I am looking at, up to a distance of about four meters. Perhaps you need to have a truly dark room in order to appreciate the effect fully.

Anyway, I wandered around my basement for a long time wearing the helmet, using only the head lamp to navigate and enjoying the sound of my breathing inside the helmet. It was FUN!

Technically, he didn't even say they had to be from Alien... or from a movie, for that matter.

Yes, forgot to mention that but the sound of your own breathing and voice when you wear it is great, reminds a lot of the sound effects in the film !!! That was a very nice surprise the first time I put it on my head !
