Accurizing 1:50 TIE Fighter interior

I bought the double AMT TIE-fighter kit some time ago and did the first one as close to the filming models I could (armature, no windowpanes, monochrome interior). So on the the next I'm going to go with the interiors from the full scale sets built for Star Wars and Jedi.

First using sketchup and blueprints from Rinzler's The Blueprints:

Throwing away the dumb backpanel without window and detailing a more screen-accurate.

First I was thinking of just painting the right scheme on the kit's ordinary inner walls, but now
I'm going to replace them with something like the paper shapes below. Still figuring it all out a bit.
Not decided yet if I'm going to go with front panel which is quite dominant in the models or the clear view from the inside shots.

Thanks for taking a look!

Worked on the interior. Putting in two red leds.

It gets power from a 3.5 mm socket in the bottom of the ball which also will serve as a stand.

Very cool! I haven't seen anyone attempt an accurate set interior, they either go with the kit interior or make it like the studio model. Will you be backlighting the red displays?

Thanks! Backlighting is a great idea, especially since I'm using clear plastic for the interior wallpanels.
I'll certainly look into it.

Just glued in the pilot. Got a bit tired of this project so I'll skip the lower panels and just let the lamps be left unshaded. I'm afraid of breaking the circuits if I meddle too much with it now. The last one got to be a real headache when I did that.
