Just amazing.
This is looking very nice! Really like the direction this is taking. Your "injury merit" is recognized and all appropriate honors of valor bestowed.
The design ministry is pleased with the reuse of so many original components in the drop ship redesign.
Still plenty of room of room for a 30mm chin turret and with the tandem seating configuration there is now room for check mounted 75mm rocket launchers.
The pilots appreciate the AAV turret safety measures. Depending on the pilot position it's either Butt Buster or Brain Buster.
Neither of which is desirable. Especially if you are the one ending up with butt for brains.![]()
No fees charged for ‘housing’ ,.... ‘friend’ discounts applied !
Loving the the changes and incremental alterations to the main ‘drop ship’ !
This build , from start to finish !?...., is truly a joy to watch Katsu!
You’re taking this to another bloody level !![]()
Just amazing.
With crab leg landing gear who needs a nose gear? You already devised the solution! Make it a wicked big chin cannon! GAU-8A hold my beer kind of epic design.
Katsu-san, just want to say as a reminder of the amount of joy this thread brings to me and I suspect others. Your updates, your skill, this project, the interaction between everyone, and the humor flying around just make this thread a highlight of each day.
Love the stacked cockpit configurationSmall detail: the visor of those helmet should be painted with a high gloss finish (but that's just me Katsu-san)

Thank you, Analyzer-san. Looks like I am wasting another time. While it was hard to do a redesign and lose the time previously spent on it, in the end I think it you will be happier with it.
It sure looks like it is going to be worth it!

It is probably because with each build you know what you are capable of, so you can push the boundaries even more with the next one.Thank you very much, my friends.
As you all said, solving the problem is the core of fun of this kind of work.
There are a pair of thoughts against each other in me.
Want to carry on this model to the finish line soon.
And the other one is want to try some more idea and enjoy building. I guess you understand.
Every time when I finished the previous model, I always thought that I want to build the next model that would be easier. Never happened.
I hope you stay with me a little more while and solve the problem with me.
katsu
Happy anniversary Katsu-san!
(It's still the 10th for me)
Actually, the first full scratch model from the head down to toe was SPV from the British TV show 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons'. I thought it was 2008 if my memory is right. Before I joined the RPF, I posted it on 'Starship Builder' which no longer exists. What was that first model......12 years ago?
I bet it was still a really great model compared to us all when we first got started.
Have you settled on the ‘landing gear’ or it’s configuration Katsu-san ?
What about something similar to the Harriers ‘spindle’ support gear on their outer wing area, positioned in the forward and rear ‘fixed’ sections of your craft (outer or closer to your fuselage - as you will ) they’d retract aftward after deployment , with a ‘normal’ fixed nose landing gear setup ?
Or perhaps an Eagle (Space 1999) compression type strut which would be housed into the forward & rear wing structures close to/part of the main fuselage ?
Whatever you end up going with, it’s sure to be brilliant anyway !![]()

I have been thoroughly impressed with each one
