It starts. I start with a costume. Chewe. Limited by my poor knowledge of English, I moved through many reports and videos. With the help of mom , I already have a mesh suit.
Yesterday the ordered hair arrived, as did the needles.
So, I can actually get started.
At the beginning I thought about how to do it with my feet. I'm 181cm tall and Chewe is supposed to be 228cm. Minus the head, I would have to grow a good 35cm. Well, I've watched Adam Savage's video a lot and will probably use that as a guide. Since I don't have a heating wire cutter, I had to build one - it actually works.
The plan is to tie your hair in bad weather and in the evening, to work on your feet in the workshop when the weather is good. Thus the following points arise which I now have to examine more closely.
1. The hair is there, what exactly do I have to do to process it? Some say something about showering, others dipping into hot water, then just brushing with a hair dryer.
2. The length of the hair is apparently different. Basically it should be 60cm. If you split it, it's 30cm. Except for the forearms and hands - better 70cm, and only 45cm on the thighs. I have to find out more about that too.
Nevertheless, it starts soon.
My previous project (the Grinch) is over and I'm looking forward to this challenge. Maybe someone from Germany is here who is willing to help me a little
Oh yes, sorry for my bad english. Google translator
