At the beginning I thought about how to do it with my feet. I'm 181cm tall and Chewe is supposed to be 228cm. Minus the head, I would have to grow a good 35cm. Well, I've watched Adam Savage's video a lot and will probably use that as a guide. Since I don't have a heating wire cutter, I had to build one - it actually works.

The plan is to tie your hair in bad weather and in the evening, to work on your feet in the workshop when the weather is good. Thus the following points arise which I now have to examine more closely.

1. The hair is there, what exactly do I have to do to process it? Some say something about showering, others dipping into hot water, then just brushing with a hair dryer.

2. The length of the hair is apparently different. Basically it should be 60cm. If you split it, it's 30cm. Except for the forearms and hands - better 70cm, and only 45cm on the thighs. I have to find out more about that too.

Nevertheless, it starts soon.

So, after a total of 35 hours of work, the left leg is almost finished. but i'm somehow not sure about the distances. especially the distance upwards. I don't want to have any holes later.

I don't find the hair so beautiful, somehow too shaggy. Although I brush them well and long, they are wavy. That's why I doused a bush with hot water. after drying, they are nice and smooth. Unfortunately, this is annoying because I've just finished my left leg and now don't know what to do. Everything from the beginning would be really cruel. But I can't go on with the straight strands either, it doesn't look good then. Does somebody has any idea?

So, finally done a stage. The left leg is almost finished, from now on a little gray and then it can go on with the right leg. Maybe I should have done both legs at the same time. Well, that's the way it is. I had started at the bottom because I thought something like that would cover up my shoes. So in retrospect I don't know if the consideration was that good. The shoes are masked anyway.

Yeah, my package arrived from the states today. Thanks to Grenex for the great mask. And even some hair with it.

Since the hair of the mask is a bit different from mine, I'll mix mine with the new for the top. And more and more, the further I get up. So the color should match again.

Now I have to find the best solution to fix my head. It's heavier than I thought and of course my head is a bit smaller. How did the others solve that? Helmet, foam pad? Let's see. In any case, I'm super happy and it motivates me even more to finally finish.

It's really hot today. Too hot for the workshop, so just a test. My feet. Actually, I have to grow a good 35cm. I have foam sheets that are 3cm thick. So I need 11 of those per foot. Therefore measured first. I can get 7 pieces out of one plate. So today I tested my self-made hot wire cutter. So, these sheets cut harder and slower than normal styrofoam. It took me 8 minutes for this one foot. and not even properly. But, I already know what to expect.
