Had to pivot because I some build failures and worried about running out of time. This is my first RPF Secret Santa, and I've learned...

Making stuff for other people is stressful!

Bravo to all you lot that have a store and deadlines; while maintaining amazing craftsmanship. The upside is, my person will have a two part Secret Santa this year. Part one "Big Bite" is in the mail. The sequel, "Big Bite II: More to Chew" I plan on finishing during my holiday break.

Making stuff for other people is stressful!

It is indeed stressful! I found I've had to follow these rules:

• Start early
• Do a little each day
• Work on it meditatively, trying to enjoy and savor each step (even the %&#*$@% sanding!)
• STOP when I find myself getting in a rush (go slow to go fast! It works!)
• Document as I go, with a view to posting the build thread after the holiday season (this keeps me mindful in my approach).
• Admire my progress at the end of each day and pat myself on the back

Of course, this should be true of any build, but when it's for me, I don't follow the rules as closely. I should.

You're very welcome... I went round and round with the paint, I used 4 different colors and there's multiple layers, I was hoping that you would like them.

My SS went a little over the top with this excellent Medal of Yavin and i'd say a 3/4 Sized? ROTJ Luke Lightsaber which is absolutely perfectly sized for going into my R2D2's Dome (full size is just too big) and sturdy enough for me to eject it should I go That far.

My SS isnt quite so Secret as his return address shows his RPF name so THANK YOU bondpropfan these are perfect and I didnt have the Medal either but always wanted one.
