Unfortunately it looks like the package that I believe is my SS gift was delayed, as it was originally scheduled for delivery yesterday (Friday) according to MyUSPS, but it was never delivered, and the tracking info was updated with this earlier today...
Obviously there's still one day before Christmas for it to show up (Monday), and I'm hopeful it will considering it was only 5-6 hours away at the last update/scan 1½ days ago, but I'm not too worried about it. In fact considering there's a chance my recipient's gift might arrive after the 25th I figure it's karma if my gift does as well

Good news: the shutdown doesn't affect USPS operations.
USPS tracking can be annoyingly inaccurate at times.

I can be marked as received! Oddly enough, Chris Nupp and I were each others Secret Santas and he sent quite a wonderful gift. A Deadpool coloring book, as well as Deadpool's Desert Eagle handgun. Chris hand painted it with, as he stated in his attached letter, "...love, affection, and a little bit of unicorn farts." Thankfully there was not a glitter bomb in the package when I opened it representing the unicorn farts. Ha Ha. Thank you for the gift Chris and I hope everyone has a joyous holiday season!

I opened the box and I am pleased to report that the Ring of Power has been found. But not to worry, I will take care of the precious...
I was just contemplating about what I should do about my increasingly Hobbit-esque figure. Now I can happily embrace it! This was perfect for me, thank you so much Secret Santa!

I finally caved and opened up mine this morning! What did I find?
A massive collection of Harry Potter paper props! Acceptance letters, Quidditch World Cup tickets and posters, Proclamations, Ron's Howler (love the envelope, it's beautifully done), the list goes on! I'm a big Potter fan and these are just amazing. Most are on beautiful parchment paper and all are of the highest quality. I can tell just how much time went into nailing the details of each one of them. I'm going to make some framed displays for these, and I'm totally going to frame the Lockhart photo separately and put it up on my wall to see the reaction he gets from guests.

You're welcome. Sorry some of the notebooks were a bit rubbish. It was the first time I made them and didn't want to waste them.
