1/24 Rogue One U-wing

I did not realize this was you in the other thread.

You mentioned the wings don't sag at all. That is great news.

I will upload pics of my progress as soon as I can.

I’ll be jumping back on this one this fall/winter, after I knock out the last 2 Studio Scale x-wings (out of 6 total) I’m building.

I’ve made a test wing that worked out really well, with virtually no sagging. Need to refine it a little for the final design. It’s very light too, so if I want to display the model with the wings swept back, I could. This is not possible with the stock wings. They are WAY too heavy, and would stress the fuselage quite a bit.

Have also made a new master for the engines. Simple replacement of the can, and looks like a larger version of the x-wing cans...keeping with the ‘built by Incom’ theme.
I am utilizing the stock engine intake, and the stock rear engine piece. I have yet to make a master for replacement ‘turkey feathers’. Those will be hollow, so the engines can easily be lit. I’ll probably use an Arvid heat sink on the inside of the exhaust, like the x-wing engines.

I love the U-wing, and I love the idea of having a 1/24 scale version of it to go with my SS x&y wings. However, this kit is poorly engineered and executed out of box. It will take a lot of scratch building to make this into a decent model.
