I get a chance to see all of the other parts I have not help mold and cast in person this week. I cannot wait to see her in all her glory.

You know, we talked about serloin and ribeye, but my neighbor just gave me a cooler full of deer.... So, what do you want? Cow Steaks, or Deer Steaks? Whoo-ha!

What, the build-up....?? That would be me..... Oh wait, you haven't had a chance to see any of my airbrush work, because I've been banned from a lot of the standard forums that have no power here. Now, you will get to see my master work in person. the great part of this whole thing is that now I have full control of the build, not that that isn't a little bit of stress.. LOL!

BTW, how the hell are you Hotshot, long time no talk.

Take care.

Who's painting it ;)

I've always wanted to do a 'Khan' battle damaged Big E!! And I've been okay! You should pop through some of my threads round here to see what I've been up to! I'll be heading back to Baltimore over Thanksgiving and would love to see one of these beauts up close!

Well, I got to see this baby up close and personal last night and all I can say is she made my pants stiff...LOL. Had a great meal with Joe and his girlfriend and got to look at the Big refit first hand. In all seriousness, this is going to be one heck of a kit. The details are beautiful. It is just begging to be lit up as well. A ship this size would be perfect to do true TWOK battle damage.

First off, sorry for the double post and the delay in response. My life has been pretty much eatin alive by trying to get this kit done and ready before "Black Friday."

With regards to the whole kit being in MD before Thanksgiving, I don't think I'm going to make that deadline, I'm going to be doing good to get this molds finished before then. Scott will be able to show you some of the parts and molds though. Scott put his Furuta Refit on the upper primary hull and we both busted out laughing, it was smaller that the BC Deck.

I should have had this done a couple of months ago, but life does tend to throw things at you that you are not prepared for.

Take care Rhett!

I'm sure that decals will be available, but you're right about real detail and damage, I would just cringe though, to see someone go at this with a dremel, but hey.... Each to his own.

Thanks Scott. A good time was had by all! We enjoyed having you here and can't wait for your return visit. We didn't have nearly enough time to visit. I barely got to show you one tenth of what I wanted to. I'm going to check into the Star Trek thing that's coming, or already at the Science Center here.
I've been so involved with this ship lately, I haven't done much else, I'm totally out of the loop on a lot of things.
I forgot to tell you we had Blackberry Pie in the fridge..... There were a dozen things we weren't able to get to.

Keep on Trekkin, Peace and Long Life..... Whoosh.... Back to work......=/\=

No worries . . .I could always crack open one of my three PL Enterprises and get to work. Lol

Looking forward to seeing it!

True, but this will be so much easier to build and to light and will be a much cleaner, crisper build, with much greater detail and will be a far more satisfying experience all together.:eek

ooohhh man! i can feel some future paychecks are already history:eek:eek
ive only got a few hours in my pl refit and im already lookin to upgrade:unsure

Trust me, anyone who purchases this will be very happy with their end product. The photos do not do the model justice, ask Scott of AW Studios.
The only reason this hasn't moved faster since it's return to home base is because I will not put a single part into silicone untill it's 100%. I want to do the ship and the myth justice and I want to do justice the "Jim's" original mesh. Additionally, I've been making every effort to make last minute modifications and additions to make it even better and to make it easy to light, easy to assemble and self supporting in structure.

Mold and casting photos soon, as well as build photos.
