1:1 Scale Snowspeeder (T-47 Airspeeder) build.

Urh. Display day is tomorrow. BUT....I have glued the last sheet of perspex in and that has pushed the gas struts beyond their limit meaning the canopy does not open now....

I was going to joke that you could take the two weights off but I figure you might need some cheerleading instead. Can you pick a new mount point to give it more final leverage? Or is this a definite upgrade needed to the pistons and pump?

Got lucky with the weather so didn't cover the thing.
Somebody spotted me on the freeway and sent another friend the photo!!
Super happy forklift guy was at the other end.

It really is just gorgeous. This is in class with the museum builds we see from fellow rpf-ers. Insane goose bumps.

Looks great. Where is this exhibition at?
Also, what's the proper way of getting into it so you don't break anything under foot? Just anywhere up the wings, or is there's specific spots to step?

This is insanely beautiful. It looks so real. I wish I could've been there to see it. The cockpit looks amazing. The whole thing is UNBELIEVEABLE!! SO AWESOME!!!

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the feedback and general comments. I can confirm i will never build anything like this again. However, if i could just gain a little more storage space there might be just one more project. One day.....

Sounds like someone needs a bigger place. If you bought some property you could build the Hoth set to store your snowspeeder! Of course you'd need to build an X-wing and a Millennium Falcon. It's amazing how quickly these ideas get out of hand...

Do you live somewhere that gets snow? You have to get some photos in the snow this winter...
