Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Obviously it is totally your call... But I think you may be misunderstanding my idea of light weathering. The reality is that nothing seen on screen in that film was pristine. Not even the things that people thought were clean.

For example...take R2 from the end throne room scene. Everyone talks about how nice and clean he was there. But the reality is that he was simply cleaner than he was through the rest of the film. He still had bits of grime and stuff in his panel lines, even though he had been wiped down and looked generally clean.

What I was suggesting was a light weathering of sorts that puts a little grime n the crooks and crevices...even if you end up wiping 95% of it back off, it would make a subtle difference. It would also tone down the new paint sheen a little.

But hey...again...It's your sandbox. I'm just throwing out an opinion. Ether way, it is a most impressive build. :)

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

OH!!! I gotcha! The everyday wear and tear any cockpit might see. That would look really cool! :) That will require me to sit at the console and pretend to be Han and Chewie and look to see what needs to be weathered.

The sacrifices I make! ;)

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

EXACTLY! That's sounds fun... :)

Yeah, I've thought about doing a love seat version of the back of the speeder. The biggest issue is that the wing span and engines is pretty wide...I also thought about doing a corner chair version where I would actually cut the necessary angles into the engines to make it fit correctly.

I would love to see your Falcon bed sketches...That idea has really been on my mind since you mentioned it.

Put two twin beds side by side, spaced apart, you could make them the Falcons Mandibles. One could have the dish on the top, the other, the gun. Put the cockpit on the side to be used as a toy box of dresser or something.

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Guys... The best bed would be a Han in Carbonite Bed! Get some silver sheets and bed covers... Raise it up about 3 feet off the ground and have Fett standing off to one side... lol! How cool would that be?
