WOW... Thank you very much... I am very humbled... But I owe most of the success to this build to Steve Starkiller & Chris Lee. Starkiller's detailed/accurate 3D model and Chris Lee's desire to go BIG were my inspiration.

Hi Angel,
I am part of the FSF build team. I'm building the cockpit that will be used as the promotional piece that will be transported from convention to convention. We're hoping the cockpit, and other various pieces, will help promote the build.
Once the FSF build gets under way, I'm sure Chris will put me to work somewhere... lol

Buddy, this thing's going to TOWN! I wish I just had an ounce of your drive, determination, and builder's knowhow to tackle anything near this ambitious. Looking spectacular! Don't slow down... you're on a roll dude!

Hi Gang,
QUICK update before I head out this morning...
Look what finally arrived!!!! The arm shoes for the throttle pistons!
They will mount within the throttle housing and rock back and forth just like the original. I found an eye bolt and some washers that fit perfectly!
I think I should redesign these to match the greeblies used in the movie...
60+ rocker buttons waiting for sanding priming and paint!

Thank you, my friend! It was fun making them - very easy too. It's been raining nonstop for the last several days and it may rain this weekend. I'm hoping to get to it this weekend. There are a few angles I'm still working / debating to create... I'll get there! lol

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, my skills are very limited. I did spend a lot of time looking through the How-To books at the home improvement stores and of course... just doing! I learn more from hands on... Luckily I still have both of them! I'm hoping for more actual construction this weekend - depending on weather. Thanks again! Stay Tuned!

This will "not" be used for the Full Scale Falcon cockpit. It is part of the overall project but it is going to be used as a promotional piece that we will take to shows, conventions, etc. and be available for folks to take their pictures. So, yes... another cockpit will be built... It did start off as the original cockpit, but many structural changes were made from the ANH to ESB version that I didn't catch at first.
Plus, the panels I made are MDF and we're thinking of using something lighter in weight and thinner. Hope that makes sense...

I don't know what kind of seats they are exactly, but if you do a Google image search for "bucket seats", there are some that are kind of similar, but not quite exact. Just depends on what's available and what you're willing to spend I suppose... What's going to be used in the FSF, or don't you know yet?
