Ok just got the link from a friend. Thats the one i worked on. ill post up some pics of it when i was there. seeing as its being sold again. as a side note, the cargo boxes and engines are not accurate to the movie version.

Got more done on the Tail and the wings. the basic shape is carved out on Foam, a liitle bondo and a first coat of heavy build (Sandy) primer. stuff works great for patterns. first coat was a light one. i ran out of reducer so couldnt lay on a good coat like i wanted too.


Also, did a little test of a 3-d printer i picked up. looks like it will be good for low rez patterns.

That is very cool. what kind of foam are you using? it almost looks like balsa foam. Please keep up the great work! We love it!

Thanks Guys,

Its Urethane foam, about 10 pound density. stuffs great you can carve it, sand it. apply almost anything to it. prime and paint. of even glass over it. great for patterns.

after another coat of heavy primer i will shoot some grey primer and then mold it in silicone.

OK. Another update. got the basic shape of the tail done. just needs primer and add the details and kit parts. the wing just needs another coat of primer and it will be ready to mold.

Next upim going to get the main engine done. and also start on the rear engines under themain body.

Started on the lower rear engines. these are the base patterns and all the details will be added to these and molded.
