As promised here are a few more photos of the Finished Blaster
Now this was my first time really working with a metal kit (other than a few small WH40k models back in the day) so there was a lot of hit and miss and trial and error, especially since you cant fill the metal to get rid of holes etc so needed a lot more fettling and polishing to get how i wanted, also tapping the metal was hard since its so very soft and easy to make a mistake. also while it is very sturdy its obviously a display piece rather than a prop or cosplay item, largely down to the weight and that over time the parts will take damage, already the trigger wont return properly, I think I've deformed the spring, but thats ok and I'm certainly not going to start taking it apart now
In addition to this, i have something else to show you, before i received my Coyle metal blaster i brought a 3D printed version from
rgriesbeck, So yesterday i decided to build that up, it was a really quick build, I wasn't taking as much care or filing/sanding as throughly as i might have done otherwise, but the end results came up really nice all things considered, I replaced the receiver with a Metal one i got off of Ebay since the one that came with the kit seemed about 35% too small
And Im now waiting on the Tomensouke kit to arrive too, you could say I've been hit well and truly by Savage Syndrome*
anyway thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement throughout this build, if anyone is taking on the Coyle kit I'm more than happy to answer any questions i can help with
Till next time
Andy
