Jorg, I've seen it and handled it in person. Your "eye receptors" ARE out of order. You can see light reflecting off of one eye over the other in just that pic. The lighting is playing tricks with you there.

I take all the photos myself and I am in no way a professional photographer.
My camera is 10 years old and is a 2.1 megapixel. It's pretty ridiculous and I seriously need to upgrade.
Would love to get someone with better equipment to shoot some of this stuff.

I remember when I thought that the illusive yoda was cool too back when they had it on one of the home shopping network star wars specials back in the mid 90s.
